(Update: the kid with tie is Sean, not Sam, and even 10 months later, he is still doing a fantastic job.)
My girlfriend and I enjoyed potato skins, a gluten free pizza, and a large custom pizza. All things cooked perfectly and were brought to the table by upbeat staff. Bottled beer and wines are served here along with soft drinks.
The restaurant is cozy but not cramped. The do offer delivery through the Slice app and dine in orders can also be placed on the app. A recent delivery came before the estimated delivery time and the food was also amazing!
The owners have clearly been busy making positive changes. It is noticed and appreciated!
So I found out you have to order your pizza light cooked to not have it burnt, So with that knowledgethe pizza was good! Still got yucky mozzarella sticks with my most recent order – like they were old (same as my previous review below) and not made to order.
So bad! I ordered a small pizza and mozzarella sticks, was told 30 minutes, I got there right a 30 minutes and it was ready, took it home (heat blasting in my car) the pizza was burned, hard and just inedible,. The mozzarella sticks tasted like they were from a convenience store and had been sitting in a warmer for 8 hours – my whole dinner was just not edible. So disappointed.
Edit (after restaurant replied) to add:
The above order was placed at 7:30pm on 11/15/24 (Friday night), and there were so many staff members just standing around. I do believe that you don’t use warmers, I just don’t believe those mozzarella sticks were freshly made. I find it all just so strange that the food was this old tasting in that short amount of time. I’m just not sure how the pizza got so overcooked in the 30 minutes I was told it would take, while the mozzarella sticks were old tasting. And you’re saying everything is made to order. Maybe it was so close to the end of the shift that the workers just made a bunch, or someone canceled an order, so I got them.
old review:
I deleted it because it was no longer relevant.
The mozzarella sticks were typical frozen sticks of cheese that were marginally OK.
Their fried pickles resembled handfuls of sandwich pickles dropped in a light batter and fried for 5 seconds. Almost no taste nor anything remotely like fried pickles I’ve had anywhere else.
The cheese pizza was, well, plain cheese pizza that had little to no taste.
The BBQ chicken pizza was just slices of disappointment. Anywhere else I’ve gone they put red onions in addition to the chicken, BBQ sauce, and a mixture of cheese. They used white onions which gave it a different flavor that wasn’t so great and greasy cheese.
All in all, won’t be back for a second try. Scorpios down the road looked like a better bet.
Oh yes the owner offered me a $5 refund for taking a pizza that I didn’t wanted no extra toppins she wanted to give me a pizza with hardly any toppins for $5 discount don’t think so
