Food was good overall the Mongolian beef was tender and delicious, and the beef fried rice was also tasty. Dumplings were disappointing because the wrapper was too thick. Service needs improvement due to some order confusion and communication issues. Prices are moderate (around $20 per entree). Overall recommended for the food, but service could be better.

Absolutely one of the most authentic Chinese dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The flavors are spot-on — rich, balanced, and clearly made with traditional techniques. Every dish tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Orange chicken is a must.
The dining experience was just as impressive as the food. The service was attentive and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. You can tell they really care about both quality and hospitality.

I had lunch at Hunan Village today and ordered the Kung Pao Chicken lunch special, which came with a spring roll. Unfortunately, when I bit into the spring roll, I found a long hair inside. It completely ruined my meal and honestly made me feel sick to my stomach.
After that, I couldn’t continue eating because I kept imagining the cleanliness of the kitchen and food preparation. This is a basic hygiene issue that should never happen, and it made me lose trust in the restaurant.
The Kung Pao chicken itself might have been fine, but the experience with the spring roll overshadowed everything. I hope the management takes food safety and cleanliness more seriously, because no customer should go through this.

I was extremely disappointed with my recent takeout order from the Tysons location of Halal Hunan Village. While I frequently enjoy the buffet at their Falls Church location, this experience was notably different and below expectations. I have been to the Tyson’s location since it opened during the pandemic.
The food quality on this order was unacceptable. The soup had an off-putting bitter taste and looked like Jell-O, the Hunan beef seemed old and lacked freshness (like wholesale discount meat), and the fried rice was very dry. The wings were bland and appeared to have been held under a heat lamp for an extended period, resulting in a tough texture. Overall, the meal did not reflect the quality I have come to expect from this brand.
Given the contrast with previous visits to their Falls Church buffet, this was extremely disappointing. I hope the management addresses these inconsistencies, but based on this experience, I would hesitate to recommend this Tysons location. I’d recommend going to the café spot across Route 7 on Tyco instead — the quality and service are much better there. Alternatively, you could try the buffet location. I’d give no/zero stars if I could.

The best Hand slaughter halal Chinese food in the town. Staff is friendly and welcoming. I strongly recommend this restaurant. All the food we ordered was authentic and quantity was reasonable.

Ordered the wonton soup with a chicken and broccoli dish. The broccoli was properly cooked and the chicken was perfectly done. The dish was plated nicely and served hot.

Love this place. It’s super cute, the owner/manager is a lovely and warm woman who made the experience so much better with all her banter. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. I will absolutely come here again!

I loved this restaurant. Went there yesterday with my son for dinner. The food tasted great, presentation was very nice, the owner was very nice and friendly, came several times to check on us a couple of times. Everything they serve is Halal. You definitely have to try the lamb dumpling. They are amazing. Also the Combo Mongolian Fry, and the chicken and vegetable fried rice. I also loved the hot and sour soup (it’s spicy). overall, it was a great experience, really enjoyed it and will be coming back again.
