Reviews
The curries were incredible. The green curry and eggplant dish didn’t have too much coconut in the curry. The eggplant and tofu was amazing. We got medium which was perfectly flavorful (credentials: South Asian). We got the chicken Pad Thai and neither the chicken nor the noodles were dry and it came with fried tofu that was amazing.
It was clean, spacious, and worth it.
Red curry
Asked for mild and they said “it’s Thai” lol. But it was mild with a nice kick.
Laab pork
Warm pork. Came with cabbage slices, but more like strips and wedges, and too small to make wraps out of. Flavors weren’t popping, per se, but it was pretty good.
Drunk noodles spicy
it’s ok. Much rather go with the curry or laab.
Pork belly
It’s also ok. But much rather go with the curry or laab.
We got a lot of food.
Pros: large portions, quick service.
Delta: flavor just didn’t hit. I don’t know what was missing, but something was missing.
Larb- I’ve never had such a watery larb before. *everything was a little too watery imo.
Red curry – we liked the eggplants. I don’t see it too often in curries, but it was really good.
Pineapple fried rice – my dad ordered this item, and I didn’t get to read through the ingredients, but there were no pineapples! We had a lengthy discussion about whether it’s was called pineapple fried rice because of the color (bright yellow) or the presence of pineapples. definitely remember to ask for your pineapple, though.
Red snapper- snapper was really tender and soft. Easy to eat, a bit spicy for us for late morning/afternoon. Loved the eggplants here also.
Thai pork belly – this one is always a favorite in any thai restaurant, but this pork belly cut was a bit thick and hard to chew. It was mostly soft. The dish was watery, and interestingly, they added mostly regular broccoli and carrots instead of mostly Chinese broccoli.
Thai steak- meat was tender. It doesn’t present as appealing tbh, but it was probably one of the top dishes. The pepper sauce was really yummy, too.
If you’re looking for amazing Thai food in Sacramento, this is the place to go!
The staff are all extremely nice, patient, and helpful.
The food is absolutely mind blowing.
I finally got to try Tom Yum soup, their coconut curry is phenomenal, and also tried their drunken noodles. Also tried the Thai coffee and that was so good too.
Everything was rich with flavor, the only thing I forgot was to ask for just a bit more spice. Otherwise wow. It’s been years since I’ve had the chance to try good Thai food and I’m so thankful this was the place that got me back to it.
Absolutely recommend. Will be going back just to make sure I try mango sticky rice.
However, I found the Calamari to be a bit disappointing. While it was lightly fried and served with a sweet chili sauce, the flour coating was too thick, overpowering the taste of the calamari inside. I couldn’t quite distinguish the flavor of the calamari itself.
– Papaya salad: good acidity & refreshing.
– Pad thai with chicken: delicious! The noodle was perfectly cooked. The pad thai was very flavorful and we could taste the fish sauce. They gave plenty of chicken pieces. The portion was good too.
– Pineapple fried rice with chicken: my favorite! I usually prefer pad thai to fried rice but the pineapple fried rice was delicious! The rice was succulent and it had deep flavor. There were lots of tender chicken pieces too.
Overall, the taste, price & portion were good. We would be back to try different menu.
