This review is not about the quality of food but rather the punctuality of service. Picked up an order today that was nearly a half hour late. Additionally, when I arrived was told it would be “a couple minutes” and it wound up being over 20 min longer. Punctuality and honesty are important, as is everyone’s time. Understand busy hours happen but adjust the expected timeframe if that’s the case.

I’m fairly new to Columbus and I was craving chicken and broccoli and found this place. I called in and the guy on the phone was really nice and repeated the order back at the end to confirm. I ended up getting an order of the chicken and broccoli with lo mein and then an order of the green Thai curry with fried rice. Both meals came with an egg roll , I think it was chicken but I can be wrong. Pickup was easy and the place inside looked nice and clean if anyone was to dine In. On tasting I give the green Thai curry with chicken a 9/10 and the chicken and broccoli a 8.5/10. When considering how well priced everything was and the huge portions, I give this place an overall 10/10 for my experience. Thanks you guys at taste of orient .

Great food at a great price! You can see by my picture of the shrimp and steak with noodles that the plates are massive! Great flavor. Soda is bottles or cans, no fountain. Mine was $12.95 for Hibachi shrimp and steak-I may have paid extra for the lo mein instead of rice. Our order was 2 large orders of General Tso’s chicken, 1 steak and shrimp hibachi with noodles, crab rangoon (6) and 3 bottles of soda for $57 plus tip. Easily enough for 5 more meals with our left overs.

My all-time favorite spot for asian takeout! These guys have the best lo mein I have found in Columbus or anywhere else. The tofu and veg dishes are always cooked to absolute perfection, and the menu has a variety that’s broad but not overwhelming. Give them your business so they can continue serving Columbus for years to come, you won’t regret it when you find your new favorite takeout place!

Portion sizes are extremely generous especially the wonton soup. A quart of it is $4, and there are a ton of tasty, beautiful wontons in there.

I wanted to compliment Taste of Orient on my perfect and delicious dinner tonight! I ordered edamame, fried dumplings and general tso tofu. Was cooked to perfection! Filled containers to the top! You guys have really stepped it up!

I have been here several times for American Asian food. Highly recommend their pad Thai and the pineapple fried rice! Green curry also tastes great. Their items are cheap coming with a large portion. But some dishes could be terrible, such as the hibachi combo. I also feel that their AC is always broken, never fixed.

I ordered yakisoba foolishly without calling and asking if there were any nuts in it first. I ate some and felt some symptoms so I called and he told me it had peanut butter in the sauce. This was on me, as I thought generally yakisoba didn’t contain nuts. However, they made another order without it so I could come and pick it up and they didn’t even let me pay for it! It was very tasty. Thank you chefs!

First time trying food from here. Sorry to say- but I did not like it at all. Ordered salt & pepper Taiwanese chicken and beef chow fun. I should have asked what part of chicken is used. It wasn’t white meat and had a different flavor/texture from leg/ thigh meat. I know some places use giblets but I cannot say for certain that is what they used. Either way- I didn’t like it. Beef was very hard to chew and pretty much inedible. I wont make the 20 min drive for this place again. The interior of the place was nice and staff was decent though.
