A Hidden Gem Worth the Drive! I drove all the way from Cleveland to visit Anna’s Hands, and it was so worth it! From the moment I walked in, the vibe and aesthetic were so warm and welcoming — you can instantly tell this place is built on love and soul.
The waitresses were incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. They answered all my questions about the menu and checked on me often to make sure everything was perfect. The food? Absolutely delicious! Every bite felt like pure comfort — you can truly taste the care and soul that goes into each dish.
I also loved the little touches that make Anna’s Hands special: a display of their clever merchandise with witty taglines and even a bookshelf filled with great reads. The whole experience gave me that cozy, homey feeling that’s so rare to find these days.

If I ever find myself on death row please ensure that the fish and grits from this gem is my last meal! The fish was HOT from the oil hot. The grits didn’t need salt, pepper, NOTHING. Cooked to perfection. The peach lemonade was awesome. Customer service was top notch!

My family ate here yesterday and the food was amazing. We each had something different and tasted each plate. Starting with the fresh cornbread, oh my! The bowls were so different and deliciously hearty. The chicken was perfectly battered and melted in your mouth-don’t skip on the sweet potatoes. My husband had the chili and swears it’s award winning. The atmosphere was perfect, relaxing music at the right noise level, extremely kind waitress who delivered our items with sanitized gloves. The shop was quaint and inviting. The handmade food to table was fairly slow which is why I gave the 4 star but I’m sure this will change once they settle in. I will 100% return and have already shared my experience with others! DELISH!

My wife called and said “My husband wants to try soul food. Can you help us with that?” Of course they could. We tried the chicken tenders (best flavors I’ve EVER had) and we got a sides flight. I tried collard greens for the 1st time ever 5/5, their mac and cheese 5/5, fried cabbage 5/5, some loaded potatoes 5/5, green beans 5/5 and grits 4/5. Only reason I have the grits a 4 is personally the texture wasn’t something I’m used to, but the flavor was also 5/5 on that. HIGHLY recommend and I will 100% be back!

My son and I ate here for the first time last night and Oh. My. Goodness!! Absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Large portions, amazing food, terrific service!!! Every single item, from the drinks to the apps and the main course was absolutely delightful!! I couldn’t wait to eat my leftovers for breakfast I’m so proud to have this gem in Terre Haute!

This was our first time at Anna’s and the food was absolutely amazing! We tried the Catfish, Mac and Cheese, shrimp and grits, sweet potatoes and Brussel sprouts and everyone loved their food. The service was also great! We live in NWI but if we’re ever back in the area we will definitely stop by again.

The food here is sooooo good. A fireworks show of flavor in every bite. The New Orleans might be my favorite dish but the American Comfort is outstanding as well. This place is a must go! Eating here is more that just eating, its being nourished. I hope it continues to grow.

This Place was an Absolute Joke. Everything I wanted to Order was SOLD OUT which should be mentioned before so I kno those options are not available. I got the Pork Chops with Macaroni and Cheese and Cabbage. The Pork chops came out with SOOOO MUCH GREASE on the Plate as if they fried them on the Plate and gave it to Me. The Cabbage was Alright and the Macaroni and Cheese was Dry and Flavorless. They didn’t accommodate me with as far as Makin new pork chops or asking me would I like something else they kinda carried on as if they expected it to go this way I also asked for gravy and I don’t kno what sauce they put on. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. It Truly Sucked. From Customer Service to Food Quality.

The shrimp and grits were perfect. The Brussels sprouts and green beans were excellent. The sugar cream pie was an amazing surprise at the end of the meal. Also, don’t miss the chicken and rice soup. It is perfect on a cold day.
