Was very busy between 12-1 but that was to be expected. All the food was good and what you’d expect, as were the prices. Also, gluten free options were available, which was good due to a coeliac in the party. For pizzas, there is a cauliflower base and for burgers a separate bun.

Very tasty food and delicious apple juice. The only downside is that we had to wait more than twenty minutes.

The Zoofari Cafe is clearly a fast food establishment and not fine dining. They do a really good job providing quick burgers, salads and drinks. The building is historic, Great Depression era, and has been renovated several times. There are also great bathroom and locker facilities and a beautiful setting. A good spot to cool off and have a quick bite.

The guy working the drink counter on Monday October 13th was away from the counter for a period of time, up to the point I thought it was a serve yourself the cups you bought. Went to grab our cups and someone yelled behind me “excuse me!! What are u doing?!” I said oh sorry I didn’t see anyone I thought we were supposed to get it ourself. A look of disgust from him then he proceeded to grab the right size cup and say “THIS is the cup” oh after hounding us for our receipt!! lol just downright rude behavior from someone working at the zoo!

Food pricey. Drinks do not have lids or straws (to protect the animals from humanist littering). Cafe is not a peaceful setting as employees are loud and playing at times. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves though.

Excellent food considering this is a zoo cafe. Prices were high, as to be expected, but the pizza and chicken strips were fresh, hot, and delicious. They did not taste like reheated frozen food, which was my expectation. The staff was working to keep the tables clean and there was a great view of the playground.

My family and I enjoyed a delightful day at the zoo the other day, marred only by the horrifying experience in the Zoofari Cafe. The food preparation staff in particular were woefully unprepared for the simple task in front of them to find out what the people who were there to patronize their establishment wanted, cook it and deliver it promptly.

There couldn’t have been a half dozen customers, yet it took almost an hour to get us a simple order. I speak for each of those customers – all of whom were furious by the time they got their crumby food. Even the hungry children with us left about a third of their food uneaten because it was not particularly fit for consumption (see, of all things, the PB & J). Every single person working in food preparation on the afternoon of November 6th, 2023, should be fired and then go find a job where only the absolute minimum in life is asked of them.

What ever happened to American pride in performing the task in front of you?
