We placed an order of over $250 for delivery. When the driver arrived, he only handed me one bag of food. I questioned him right away because it didn’t seem possible that the entire order could fit in one bag, but he assured me it was everything. Shortly after he left, the restaurant called to let me know the driver had only picked up one of the two bags.
I was told they would contact the driver and have the second bag delivered immediately. After waiting 30 minutes with no update, I called back. The employee who answered was very pleasant and said she would have the manager call me. That never happened. When I called again, I was told they couldn’t reach the driver and the manager had not arrived yet.
At that point, I had 15 people sitting at the dinner table waiting for the rest of our meal, so I ended up driving to the restaurant myself to pick it up. The staff member at the desk was again very polite and assured me the manager would call me when they arrived.
That was two days ago, and I still haven’t heard from anyone. Very disappointing experience overall, and it has definitely made me hesitant to order from here again.
My eyes are bigger than my stomach so I didn’t end up getting anything besides the (plentiful!) filet and scallop hibachi full meal, and my partner had chicken, but the sushi looked SO GORGEOUS! Everything was cooked beautifully and seasoned well, but honestly not over-done with soy sauce or anything. The restaurant and hibachi side were beautifully decorated so we can’t wait to try out a sit down dinner sometime. The bathrooms were beautiful, too! What a lovely, lovely experience from beginning to end.
The entire team truly stood out—everyone was professional, upbeat, and clearly worked together to create a great atmosphere. The service never missed a beat, drinks were always full, food came out hot and delicious, and the hibachi show was fun, energetic, and engaging, which made the birthday celebration even more special.
What really made the night memorable was how consistent the service was from beginning to end. From entering the restaurant to walking out, every staff member we interacted with was kind, accommodating, and genuinely happy to be there.
If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a birthday or special occasion, Mizuki Hibachi is a fantastic choice. Great food, great vibes, and an even better staff. Highly recommend!
PS this is my second year going here for my birthday!
They have lunch deals and a catering menu.
Last night’s post: Ordered take out (sushi dinner, edamame, sweet & sour soup, dumpling soup, seaweed salad, one roll) and all was very bland and rather tasteless. Sushi was clearly not fresh, both soups were barely adequate but not great, and sadly, the edamame was best thing we ordered. Shoulda known something was amiss, when the take out order menu began with available beverages rather than appetizers as would any typical menu. Bottom line was that this meal was nearly $90 for a mediocre takeout dinner including 15% gratuity; probably won’t return.
We didn’t have to have a reservation and was seated immediately. We had a party of 6 people and came in an hour before closing. The waiter was so patient and friendly. We had half a table who had never had hibachi and never had this experience.
We all ordered appetizers and drinks. They do not have a liquor license so it was only Japanese sodas and regular sodas. I got a speciality sushi and a bunch of appetizers. They have so many options to choice from so I like the variety of their menu. The hibachi experience was one of the best I had the chef was so funny and made the experience so fun. The waiter and chef were so accommodating! We had tons of fun and even joined a birthday party that was at another table for a little karaoke which is an added in feature provided by the restaurant in their birthday party package.
This restaurant gets a 5/5 due to the great hospitality, food, and options of their menu.
Below are photos and videos of that great night.
