I came here with a large group of friends and family members for the first time for a memorial to a nephew who used to frequent the pub and passed away. I live in the Northside of Chicago, it was a pretty long drive. The pub was clean, well kept, the bathrooms were clean, the people were friendly and the service was prompt and great. I wont say ill come back again because I live too far, but I liked the place. I have no issues.

Andy running the grill is a renaissance man. Perhaps Leonardo Di Vinci reincarnated. He went all in on everything he cooked for us: gyros, burgers, patty melt. Some of the best fish fry I’ve ever had so we went back another evening and were glad we du. He clearly has a passion for cooking delicious food and our weekend was better off for it.

Hadn’t been here in probably 25+ years, still looks the same and too divey for me (a little loud and same Beach Bar vibe). Hopefully with time the new owners will renovate. We had to go to the bar to ask for drink refills a few times but the food was great!

He was attentive without ever being overbearing, had great recommendations, and made sure everything was great. Absolute gem of a spot! I dove headfirst into their Beef Birria Burrito, and let me tell you, it was a flavor explosion that had my taste buds doing the cha-cha! The chips and salsa? Crunchy, zesty perfection—like a fiesta in my mouth. The new owners are basically culinary superheroes, swooping in to save this place from the clutches of mediocrity. Oh, and the cherry on top? A killer view of the lake that’s so scenic, it practically begs you to propose to your burrito. 10/10, would feast again!
