I went there to get dinner for the family. We got four 12” tubby famous, A french fry, fried mushroom, two orders of cheese sticks, and two drinks. Our order was $80 and the subs barely had any meat on them and they only gave us two small things of ranch with all the fried food.
The tub is at Martin Road and Gratiot is hands-down 1000% better than this one. I will never go back to this one again

I’ve been to this location a few times, usually without any mishap. I placed such a straightforward, simple order, a Stake & Cheese, toasted with only Steak n Cheese.. no lettuce, onion, nothing but Steak N Cheese with a toasted bread. UNCESSARY APPLIED effort to supply me with the sub in the way that they did. NOT TOASTED and lettus spread throughout the sub.

This location has good subs, although they have mess up my order a few times (about 1 in 9 visits). The space is very small making iy hard to move around inside the shop. They also are always playing Christian music, which as someone that has had a few bad experiences with the church makes me a bit uncomfortable.

It was cool to visit the first Tubby’s ever. The food tastes exactly like any of the others, so that’s a bonus. The place is tiny with a lot of character. Good place to grab a quick bite.

This tubby’s is the worst tubbies in the area every time I wear that old lady I don’t know she owns a place is rude I’d advise somebody not to go there anymore the place is filthy and the bread that they use is terrible it’s not even 12 in Long they should be sued for false advertisement please be advised the place is filthy and I hopefully haven’t gotten sick from that place I would recommend not going to that tubby’s

Haven’t had tubbys sub in 30 yrs.
When I was young we used to goto the one at Masonic and Groesbeck which is no longer there.

Went to get a couple subs on a Monday. Place was empty no rush. I ordered the Tubbys famous and my wife got the Turkey club. They asked if we wanted them toasted and we said yes. We paid for them and left. We only live about a mile and a half away. When we got home and opened them we couldn’t believe it, the buns were so small they resembled large hot dog buns. The buns weren’t crispy at all, my sub was supposed to have 2 kinds of salami, ham, and cheese along with lettuce and tomatoes. I could see two types of meat and no cheese. The sub was a slimy mess. My wife’s was even worse we could not find the turkey and it was a slimy as well. We threw them in the trash. 30 dollars for nothing. We ended up going to New York deli. We will never go there again.

I’ve been eating Tubby’s since I was a kid. It’s been a few months since I had a sub from there and I just had a craving. Unfortunately it’ll be my last time I choose Tubby’s. The large classic at $13+ tax had so little meat in it that it looked like a grilled cheese. The steak and cheese with a price tag of $15+ tax had about the same amount of meet that my wife’s small sub had in it. I understand that prices go up but the quality doesn’t need to go down.
