Solid taqueria. Meat options are pretty basic, but seafood is what they specialize in. I ordered the fish taco $4.25 and shrimp taco $4.75. Decent size. Both contain the same ingredients and are delicious. Fish taco only had 1 small piece of fried fish, whereas the shrimp taco had like 5 pieces of plump juicy shrimp. So fish is not as worth it. Took about 15 mins for my order and they weren’t too busy either, but at least you know it’s fresh and made to order. It’s just an order and pickup window, self serve and open seating (indoor and outdoor). Bathroom on the side of the building. Plenty of parking in the lot and street. I would go back to try their burritos

Came here for a quick bite to eat before going to a conference. Ordered a El Pastor super burrito: comes with rice beans, jalapeños and avocado. Wifey got some kind of veggie thing “lol” said she loved it.
Overall this place gave me a pretty sizable burrito for the price and it was pretty good to. The service was fast too. The parking lot is small so it’s kind of hard to park and there are not to many tables to sit at as well. I would come here on the premise of taking the food to go.

La Costa is one of the best places in town to get quality Mexican food. I have tried a lot off of their menu and have never been disappointed. Through the years I’ve been coming here I would have to say my favorites are probably the Pastor Tacos, Wet Burrito, and their Tortas. They have a pretty good drink selection too, and their horchata is very good compared to a lot of other places. Overall La Costa has been one of my favorite places to eat for years now, and if you haven’t tried it yet, do it!

CASH ONLY. Don’t judge a book by its cover – La Costa is my go-to taco lunch spot when I’ve got a hankering for real, actual, street style Mexican food. If the lines didn’t already give it away, the carne asada tacos are bomb. Haven’t tried anything else, and don’t really plan to. The tacos are on the small side with double tortilla, so get 3 of them, 4 if you’re hungry, and make sure to specify cilantro, onion, and red sauce. Order a Coke in a bottle, and ask for a roasted pepper on the side. That’s it, enjoy. This review is for the Morgan Hill location specifically, but they’re all over the Bay Area.

There are so many different choices to make everyday. The abundance of options can be overwhelming. In order to not feel so overwhelmed, I tend to do the same things that worked for me in the past. Sometimes I’ll even do things that didn’t work for me, but I still do it because at least it’s predictable. For example, I go to Taco Bell fairly often. I don’t go there because it’s good for me, I go because I know what to expect every time I’m there. It’s going to be delicious, fast, and cheap food with a hint of guilt.
Today was different. I wanted something that wasn’t predictable, which I guess is still pretty predictable because I tend to do at least one un-predictable thing a week. Anyways, for my predictable, unpredictable day I decided to go to La Costa. I noticed they are trying to solve the “abundance of options” problem by only letting people pay with cash. In theory I like the idea, but I still would have preferred to pay with a credit card. Anyways, their burrito was good and a nice change up to my routine.
