Great place being in Fort Kent. Busy weekend with Can Am in town. The staff stay on their toes. Had lite dinner but was great!

My wife and I went to Swamp Buck Grill (in St Matthews) for the second time Friday night. We are not exaggerating when we say that we had a real surprise when the “All you can eat shrimp” turned out to be the BEST we have ever had! The fries and the onion rings were excellent as well. It was worth the drive from Orangeburg! You need to make reservations on the weekend!

The food was cold. First the appetizer came out. A fried product that was 2 different shades of fried. 1/2 that was the obvious redunk batch , and 1/2 that was the fresher, lighter, undercooked batch, thrown together and served at room temp. Then the entree came out with a gravy over the top that had cooled and formed a film and the sides were actually cold. Unfortunately, they’ll likely know who wrote this as there were only 6 other people dining at the time and 2 were at the bar.
Our server was wonderful and the atmosphere is great. If the kitchen cared more about what they sent out it would be great. This is my 3rd time in 4 years going, I’d hoped it was the charm, but the experience was very similar to the last 2. I’ll say I’ve had a good sandwich and their cole slaw is pretty decent. Definitely worth the stop if you’re lookin’ for a beer and a snack.

Went for my birthday. Got the 14oz ribeye because we were celebrating. Ordered it medium rare. Took almost an hour to get to eat and when it came, it was 60-70% fat and gristle and well done to a crisp. The waitress was awesome, but when she came back, she said the cooks (I say cooks and not chefs for reason) said that the ribeye is always well done and that she couldn’t do anything other than offer a free dessert, which I was already getting for my birthday.

I mean, how disrespectful to the customer’s wishes and to the food! Who cooks every steak well done?? I paid $40 for some fatty charcoal! Not to mention my poor mother who was served a BBQ platter which was much more like three different kinds of burnt leather on a plate.

This place doesn’t even serve cocktails. Just beer and wine. So sad. They’re only getting 2 stars from.me because of the waitress who comped two desserts for us, even though they ran out of the one dessert I wanted which is their fried icecream, which they’re supposedly famous for. Never going back to that dump.

This place is a gem. Let me tell you. After two days of being out in the cold, eating combos and licorice, we needed a salad! The coleslaw was top notch. I wish I could recreate! We had a great waitress, loved chatting with her. They were so busy because no one is open on Mondays! We were so happy they had a table for us. And no, we did not think they were overpriced. Stuffed mushrooms, coleslaw, clam strips etc! So good!

I must say this is an amazing place to eat. The food is simply amazing, extremely tasty and flavourful. The staff was very friendly, getting our drinks pretty quickly. The atmosphere is very well decorated. The food took about half an hour to arrive after ordering, but it is because they are understaffed on chefs. Highly recommend!

$35 for a shrimp scampi that had 6 normal sized shrimp in it. Not one to complain about portion size but I left hungry. Wait staff and everyone else was great.

Sad experience. There is no color on the plate, a terrible presentation. I had to open containers of butter and sour cream for my baked potato (why make the guest do all this work). Once I broke into the salmon, it was cold inside. I paid $27 for what you see, including a wilted garden salad with 2 cherry tomatoes (one exploded on my blouse. Kitchen cut your stupid tomato in half, it looks like more, and you can poke it with a fork!) Never again. Won’t ever be back. They didn’t care about me or their food presentation. Sad. Overpriced, overrated, ridiculous.

I have been dreaming of the horseradish sauce since I had it the first time back in 2013. Nothing has changed and I love it. The menu prices are great, and the selection is great. Staff was nice and accommodating. Wanted a drink but wasn’t sure and said suprise me. She made me a cute little rum drink and used a well spirit (which was nice because some people don’t wanna spend 20$ on a drink).
We were greeted quickly, the place was quiet, and the food was hot.
