We ordered the daily specials; for me the Chicken Parmesan and for my husband the BBQ Ribs. Both were delicious, our server was excellent and the portions were generous. We will be back to try all of the other delicious sounding dishes they have to offer!

We were disappointed there was no view of Lake Oconee as we had read online that there was.

There are so many positive aspects to this hidden gem that I don’t know where to start. This is a “local” spot for sure. If you arrive during early dinner time, plan on waiting for a table… and know that the wait is totally worth every minute.
We ordered 3 apps, bacon wrapped shrimp, Philly rolls, and street corn dip. OMG! They were all amazing in their own rights. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. The Philly rolls were house made and tasty. The corn dip was a wonderful surprise of flavor and cheesy goodness.
Two of the three of us chose the aged steaks, me the strip, and my partners sister had the ribeye. Both steaks were grilled perfectly and were butter tender. My partner ordered a wedge salad due to the number of apps that we enjoyed.
At the end of the evening, we were all full and happy. I’ll say that Ginger and her crew run a wonderful ship that is a pleasure to board. Visit The Silver Moon with a beach attitude: Relax, experience, and enjoy your time together.

Best restaurant ever you will not go wrong when you visit. One thing is no reservations they open at 5:00 get there at 5:00 the closer you get to 6 the more you will have to wait. It’s known for its steaks but you will not be unhappy with anything on the menu. Enjoy

We arrived around 3:30 and saw the restaurant didn’t open till 4 so we went to a shop and got back at 4:02. The parking lot was already filling up! We assumed this would be a good dining experience. We were correct. We had to wait in a small line but was quickly seated and greeted. Service was knowledgeable and prompt.
The atmosphere was pleasant and I loved the use of the lighting that looked like little full moons! Perfectly fitting for the name.
I decided on the wedge salad and flat iron steak with frites. Both were delicious. The steak was tender and the frites reminded me of a good version of the potato sticks in a can that I ate as a kid.. that sounds bad, but believe me.. its very good! I loved the simple but delicious wedge salad, the Gorgonzola dressing was so tasty and the lettuce very crisp and fresh.
My husband had the fish and chips, he said they were different than what he expected but very good. He also had the street Corn dip and it was fabulous. There was no fried shrimp, the server said it was due to harvesting situations with the particular chemical/toxin free shrimp the chef prefers. They did have some red shrimp I saw others eating and I wish I could have tried those too. Looking around at other tables, I would have liked to take photos of them all, everything looked so yummy! We drove about an hour and a half to dine here and it was worth it. As we left, a little over an hour later, the waiting area was full as was the outdoor waiting area. Thankfully, waiting customers have lots of chairs to sit and wait in, and some ice cold lemon water provided to help beat the heat.

When we left, the line was literally stretched out the door, with eager diners waiting to be seated – a testament to their incredible reputation!

Good food. Good service. Relaxed casual atmosphere. It’s not fancy. We were seated much sooner than the 30 minute estimate so we were quite happy. The food comes out fairly quick and so do the tables. Nice dinner – id def come back another time.

We had such a lovely time at “the place with no sign”. I was really taken with the ambiance and the warmth that poured from the staff. There is so much more to this restaurant than meets the eye from the street.
To be fair, there was a sign that read “bar and grill”, but no official mention of the name “Silver Moon”
The entire exterior parking and waiting areas are absolutely beautiful and very well thought out. Usually, parking and then waiting at most restaurants are just necessary pain points in order to get to the eating. Not so at this place.
The rear parking area is beautifully landscaped with brick walkways that lead through living trellises, a well manicured lawn, and a rose garden.
The outdoor waiting area is a subtle stroke of genius. The area seems simple enough with an “oval” of chairs arranged under a covered patio. At the far end, it is connected to a dedicated outdoor bar to meet all of your pre-dinner beverage needs. It creates an atmosphere conducive to people watching and relaxation while taking in amazing seafood smells wafting from the kitchen. The oval seating arrangement also encourages the waiting guests to interact with one another, which I think is wonderful.
The staff is amazing. They were warm, welcoming, and did a fine job. I really like their blackboard wait list. That was a nice touch.
The food was excellent and the menu seemed to have a wide variety. I highly recommend the corn dip. As we were enjoying ours, I looked around and noticed it was a popular appetizer choice.
There were so many small touches that need to be experienced to be appreciated. It was those touches that made the experience a good one for me.
As we left, we found ourselves engaged in conversation with a lovely and warm woman who worked there. Part way through our conversation we found out that it was her establishment. What a treat to meet her! We look forward to seeing Ginger again soon!
