Est. 1989, Owner Jimmy Pante bought out his business partner in 1993, and sold Buonos 2013. After several years of his customers requesting him to reopen. Jimmy and his Fiancé Shelly (RN and Army Veteran) opened up Buonos in Gilbert on the NW corner of E. Williams Field and Val Vista. Buonos menu ranges from pizza, subs, calzones, Stromboli, pasta dinners and much more.

This place is awesome! My husband and I tried it for the first time last night and liked it so much we went back tonight. The vibe is cozy with NY decor, you seat yourself if dining in! We’ve tried both their margherita and white pizza and both were phenomenal. The pizzas are flavorful with a nice crispy crust. Their boneless wings, sauce (honey bbq & buffalo), and ranch are also great. The workers are also amazing and will box your food up for you! We noticed both times we were there they seem to have regulars who know the staff’s names and that is something we like to take note of!

We went in for a birthday and we’re not disappointed. The lasagna is the best AZ has to offer since moving here. I recommend the lunch special. You get two huge slices and a soda. Flavor of the sauce and the overall freshness of the food was what we were looking for and we found it here.

Pizza was fantastic. The staff was excellent. Had a little bit of a problem with an order, but they resolved it. No questions asked good people great pizza highly recommended me and my family will definitely be back to Buono’s again and Anglin in the future.. Bonus dip they have great slice lunch specials and a good Sunday football special. Highly recommend you go support these guys.

Buonos is a cool, very clean, small NY-style pizza joint with all the typical paraphernalia – images of the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan murals, NYC street and subway signs, Yankees and Mets pennants, sports-playing TVs, NY license plates, chill music and even an old arcade game. Counter servers are always smiling; happy to chat you up and make sure everything is to your liking. As an added special touch, they sell boxes of Drake’s Ring Dings, Yodels, Devil Dogs and Coffee Cakes (takes me right back to my childhood!) and have a nice outdoor patio, too – what more could you ask for from a pizza place, besides big amazing slices and incredible Italian food? Luckily, you’ll find that here in spades, too. I am a foodie and former NYer who could technically be called an AZ native considering how long I’ve lived here now, but my taste buds know an authentic slice when it meets one! If you’re craving a real NY pie dripping with melted cheese, perfect sauce, and the exact right amount of oregano all on a thin, crispy crust, you won’t be disappointed! Every time I’m nearby (I live 30 minutes away), I pop in for a slice or two and then always take home a pie for later. Buonos is one of only two places I have found here in the desert that serves legit NY pizza – and I’m so glad I did. (Next time I’m in I’ll add a pic of the but I scarfed it down too fast, as always.) Mangia!

Just ate The Werks pizza. It is really good. Garlic knots were awesome… should have gotten mozzarella with them. Chef in the back came out and gave us a slice of his Gyro creation!!! I liked it!!! We just asked that next time would be better with a little tzatziki dipping sauce. Will definitely come back!!!

First time and I love the customer service! They have an amazing lunch special- two slices( nice size) and a drink for $10 bucks! They include speciality pizza slices in the choices. The crust is golden and crunchy. Flavors and quality are there. Don’t forget dessert!
Other things to note: They have beers And multiple drink options. Plenty of room for small or larger than 4 parties. They also have outdoor seating. Plus wheel chair accessible♿

We stopped in after an ultrasound and was immediately greeted by Pamala. She was so sweet and asked about my ultrasound photos in my hand. We ordered an XL margarita pizza and it was delicious! I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

This pizza place is an absolute gem! The pizza was everything you could hope for in authentic New York-style—a perfect crust, flavorful toppings, and just the right amount of cheese. It truly brought back memories of classic NYC slices. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a casual meal with friends or family.
We started this adventure with their garlic knots with mozzarella that comes with their amazing, mouth watering, 6 hour, slow simmered sauce. We couldn’t even hold off and devoured them before I could get a proper picture but you will not be disappointed. We also got a couple slices, a salad and some nice, crispy, meaty chicken wings. Everything, and I mean everything, came out absolutely delicious and with their special touch.
What made the experience even more special was the hospitality. Jimmy, the owner, runs the place with his family, and their passion for what they do really shines through. Not only was the staff incredibly friendly, but Jimmy himself sent out a couple of treats from the kitchen, adding a personal touch that made us feel like part of the family. Even got some awesome Buono’s swag to rep!
I can’t wait to return and introduce more people to this amazing spot. If you’re looking for authentic, mouthwatering pizza served with genuine care and warmth, this is the place to go!

FANTASTIC!!!!! ok now that I have your attention as a New York pizza snob, I can honestly say this pizza joint brought me back to my childhood. The sauce was amazing the crust was perfect the cheese was as cheesy as I am. being a New Yorker in AZ this place is 10/10. Both were really good. Only reason for not giving the pizza 5 stars is because I like a crust with a little more elasticity to it. The hot honey isn’t spicy at all but the overall pizza flavor was really good.
Definitely give this place a try. Super attentive staff also. Very casual, unassuming atmosphere.
