Be careful. They’ll charge you 4% for using your card without telling you and without any posted signs. From the window, you tell me my total is $15.81. When I checked my card transaction, it’s $16.44 ?!?!?!?!
New female employee, as mentioned before, work on providing a good amount of hot sauce depending on what customers orders!!! Happened so many times I ordered a plate with 2 or 3 small size hot sauce.

Carne asada fries were soo good!! Flavorful meat and crispy fries. Definitely recommend, although community could be safer, and restaurant could be cleaner.

They charge 4% for using card and then have a sign saying “4% cash discount”. When I got my exact change back from paying in cash and I had questions about it, the woman said “the discount is that we are not charging your card 4%, good night” and slammed the window closed. I am not coming here anymore for sure.

Man this place just went downhill. They raise prices bur went so cheap on ingredients. I got a cali burrito and literally got the tortilla folded into itself to compensate of all the extra space. The thinnest burrito I’ve ever had. It’s the 3rd time and I guess it’s the last.

6/4/2025@9:00am. I drove to this Hilbert’s Mexican fast food chain. I placed a Ordered of a breakfast with potatoes burrito . Paid it, and drove off. Got home, ate the burrito and the potatoes tasted weird. Few hours ago my stomach was hurting me. (8hours ago) I was vomiting the food. The potatoes were bad . I will not come here ever again! I don’t recommend anyone to this place. No star’s that’s for sure!

RIP-OFF! I ordered 2 egg, rice and bean breakfast burritos from Hilberto’s drive through window for $8.50 each. What a waste of money. The sign says they make them with 2 eggs each, but the amount of egg inside was more like half an egg. The burritos were 80 percent rice and beans, 20 percent scrambled egg. Also, the salsa was from a Tapatio bottle and not freshly made. Not worth your money.

The best carne asada burritos w/ sour cream in San Diego hands down. They only serve red hot sauce but it’s delicious as well. You can probably get anything carne asada and be satisfied.
