Drove 45 minutes there.
-Waited 10 minutes to sit down (with nobody ahead of us and 1/3 of the tables empty)
-Waited 20 minutes for the waitress to show up.
-was then told they ran out of prime rib just then. (The whole reason we came)
– ordered and Waited AN HOUR for food that never came.
– We finally got up and told a different waitress that we didn’t want to wait any longer and left with NO FOOD…
-only saw our waitress twice in the hour and a half we were there (she had her kids with her following her around)
-Absolutely WILL NOT be going back…

My in-laws have been coming here for years, and they always talk about it. My husband and kids came with them during SDSU Hobo Days weekend, and it was great! The servers were all so nice, and the food was great!

I’m a little disappointed this trip. The prime rib was very chewy hard to cut even!! I hope this was only a fluke… new cook or something!
Great food, I’ve eaten stakes around the world…this is in my top 5 places. I’ve eaten here a few times. Fri & Sat nights prime rib..is amazing!! It is a local mom & pop place in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere… but well worth the drive!!!
Staff are always friendly witbJohny on the spot service!! There is a bar, but I have mot been in that area. HIGHLY RECOMMEND eating here!

We both ordered Medium Rare Ribeyes. I ordered it with Hasbrowns my son ordered his with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. The meal came with soup/salad bar & breadsticks.
Steaks were very good & juicy, made to perfection.
We both didn’t enjoy the breadsticks, thought they were tasteless.
Overall we’d go there again!!

We made reservations for 5, place was full by 520! Great food, great service. We had just got done eating salad bar and food came. We ordered Ribeye and prime rib with the onions and mushrooms, and loaded hashbrowns! We live 45 miles away, so with the trip!!! Make reservations if you want a table!

Wife had the chopped beef said it was dry ,I had a T-bone excellent staff was very attentive except asked on of the wait staff to fill the soap dispenser but it never happened checked 3 more times still no luck

A micro-small town, Ward, hosts an old-school steakhouse. Check dates and times before you go because of limited hours of operation. Holds more customers than you might think from the main street view. Thick ribeyes. It seems that they tend to cook the steaks more than usual. I will order rare next time. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and a great night out while you support a local business.
