Great Italian restaurant in Cranford, NJ. I ordered the Chicken Franchise, string beans, salad and bread. The chicken franchise was tender with great flavor. Salad, and strings were tasty and I enjoyed my meal. If you are in the Cranford, NJ and would like to enjoy excellent Italian cuisine in a inviting setting look no further.

Went in this weekend. Super bowl.party was Italian theme. We got the cannoli, teramisu, lemon cello cake and the torta. They were amazing!!!! Asked the owner to recommend a wine, we got the Nero d’avola, that was also outstanding. Thank you, it was all amazing!!!!

I am not the type to leave reviews but stay out of this place if you are a person of color or minority. The customer service is pathetic and very weird, possibly even racist. I am not the only review to say this. I went to go pick up food right after I got off work and the guy at the front said it will be ready in 10 minutes. I go to use the bathroom in the meantime and immediately get dirty looks from a different man who works there as he whispers something to his coworker but I think nothing of it. After I leave the bathroom he opens the door back to the entrance facing the train station, which is where I came from and immediately locks the door behind me. He then goes to the back of the kitchen and gives me another dirty look before presumably going to gossip some more. I would expect this behavior out of teenagers, not a grown man old enough to be a grandpa. But with that attitude it makes sense why you are there in the first place. You are an absolute coward for your behavior and you know exactly who you are. If going to the bathroom is that problematic I suggest putting a sign that explains your silly policy or communicating it to me like an adult with common sense. I have never had any issues in the past but I will never step foot in this establishment again. The food already takes forever to be ready, the staff being absolutely miserable with no sense of urgency or social awareness is just the icing on the cake. Im sure they will try to flip this on me but any camera inside the establishment can attest to what I am saying.

Italian restaurant with decent prices and food. The servers were good. I’ll point out a few things I wish I knew before going, they do not have a bar here (despite what’s on Google) they offer 1 specific wine brand that a local winery allows them to use their license. Although the wine was good, it would have been good to know i could have brought my own.

We hosted a family bridal shower at Ciao Bello in Cranford this past weekend and could not be happier with the outcome. Benny was most accommodating and easy-going with the menu and party planning. The staff was (and always is!) kind, caring and professional. To say the food was phenomenal is an understatement. Several special requests due to food allergies were accommodated without hesitation. Would highly recommend this restaurant for everyday dining as well as special gatherings. A+

We sat outside and the day was beautiful. They took our order after the fourth person arrived. Friday afternoon and the restaurant wasn’t crowded. The food was delicious and everything was hot. Love my hot food hot. The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly. We were at the restaurant for 3 hours. We eat, relaxed, and talked. No one asked us to pay. They left the bill on the table and we paid when we were ready. It was great. We are planning on returning. Go enjoy the food.

My baby shower was hosted at Ciao Bello and I could not have been happier! First off, the owner/chef was incredibly accommodating and flexible in planning our event. The food was absolutely delicious – many of our guests complimented the flavor, portion and plating. Our head server was available early before the party to assist with set-up and ensured all our guests were happy throughout the event. It is a beautiful restaurant, with great food and amazing service. Highly recommend and would have another event here!

had dinner here with mi amore… ordered linguini vongole… chicken parmigiana… balsamic calamari… sangria and wine for drinks… i must say this is a legit italian place… the vongole was by far the most competent one i’ve had so far in a long time… only hiccups are my wife found the sangria too sweet for her liking and the calamari being more of a onion rings… it was too fried… texture and taste were gone… but it didn’t really affect our experience… my wine was great… no room for dessert… maybe we enjoyed the bread too much as we asked for balsamic vinaigrette mixed with olive oil and parmesan as our dipping sauce… twas too good… adding this place to our goto list… did i mention that they are byob…
