Tru Blues is the kind of place Ravens fans quietly recommend to each other. Tucked into an older plaza on Johnnie Dodds Boulevard, it doesn’t announce itself — but once inside, it feels unmistakably Baltimore. From the decor to the regulars, it’s clear this is a Ravens bar at heart.

We went on a Sunday while football was on so it was packed.. but with every table full the wait staff was very attentive and kind!
The food was great and the traditional Buffalo wings were will be back for!

It sucks. At 7:30 pm it was all about bartender service, drinks.
Never was offered a menu. Never asked if I needed another beer.
Never asked for payment with an empty beer glass for 10 minutes. Had to ask for my bill for one beer with no offers of do you need another.
Why would anyone go to this locals only bar and grill to be so disrespected.
Stay Away.

Is a very cool place with nice atmosphere. Looked like they had some party going. DJ was good and people were dancing. The only thing that we did not care for is wings. They were tough and COLD when they arrived. They claim that they have best wings in the area but possibly many years ago because I have been to other places not far that has better wings. Chips are awful and people next to us agreed with that too. Menu price have to be watched with those addons. Should not be any addons with the price they charge. Beer was the best part of the food here. Service is great. AGAIN Very COLD Wings.

Wings are great. We had the BBQ hot wings and they were just enough sweet and heat, not overpowering. We also had nachos and they were good but not great. That had a sweet type of chili and jalapenos so they had sweet and heat to them. We will return if we come back to Charleston. They seemed short staffed. The wait staff didn’t come back to check on our drinks until we were almost finished eating but I think it was a issue of only having 2 servers that I saw. They were very polite so we don’t mind waiting. Expect loud TV’s and music. Great place for the game and a beer.

I’m visiting from New York State. I wanted some good wings. These did not disappoint! The wings were awesome. I thought I’d get my grandson some chicken tenders and fries, well they were disappointing. The tenders looked like French fries they were so skinny . The staff was great, service was really good. But, those tenders. Please don’t keep selling those as tenders, label them as chicken fries and nobody gets disappointed! Struggling between 3 and 4 stars but I really like the place.

I googled best wings in Charleston and this place came up so I decided to try it. I tried the ranch hot wings and they were very tasty and extra crispy how I like them. They also char them on the grill for that extra grill flavor. It was your typical sports bar atmosphere for a Saturday night.

Joel a very helpful new employee did his best to help get a decent food selection for the review though they brought it out to me bagged up to go . I forced them to plate it for the pictures in the review. They also have no dark beer so I was forced to order a yuenling with a shot of Kailua. Wanted to order the best thing on the menu or at least what they were best known for, but didn’t want 10 wings as that was that was the smallest quantity. I would have paid for 10 but only get 5 or would have shared but they wouldn’t compromise . So I ordered the French dip with a side of excellent onion rings and an order of fried okra . Told Joel no mayonnaise as I don’t eat white creamy stuff on my food and the okra came out with a white creamy side . I begged him for something red and spicy and he brought me ranch sauce . I said that’s just camouflaged white creamy stuff . He said we don’t have anything else. I reminded him you have red spicy sauce for wings . It’s okay he is new. Kenzie the owners daughter was a dream boat and very talented behind the bar. The place was hopping as Groove Kitty was playing. Overall a very good sound system, very tasty food and friendly staff. A bathroom so bright white it literally blinds you when you enter from the dark bar, but smells of cleanser and urinal cakes . plenty of parking front and back and I was able to park my bike near a window . Open 7days 11to 11. Monday:team trivia, Wednesday: bingo 7-8, Friday:live band, Saturday: Karaoke 8-12. Once a month Tuesday nights: SHAG NIGHT yes I had to ask . It’s silver age dance party . TBD: METAL HEAD KARAOKE.
