Came here a few nights ago for dinner and this is hands down one of the best Hispanic restaurant I’ve ever been to. The burrito I got was the best one I’ve ever had in my life. Way better than Chipotle, Moe’s, or Qdoba, and the burrito was like twice the size of what you would get at any other restaurant. I got the regular burrito, not the big one mentioned on their menu so I can only imagine how humongous that one must be. My partner also loved her Cuban sandwich and said it was a 10/10. Refills were generous and staff were attentive. The salsa with the chips isn’t really spicy, but it’s not really that sweet either. I highly recommend visiting Uncle Rico’s Cantina.

Came here to try their breakfast and it did not disappoint either. I decided to give their breakfast burrito a shot and it was amazing. If you’re looking for a different take on breakfast than traditional eggs, bacon, waffles/pancakes/ French toast, then I suggest you give their breakfast a chance. Their Pina Coladas are also on point.

My two sons and daughter in laws took me here for my 57yr birthday. They’re food taste is amazing and I love their cocktails too. It’s been week ago, but I keep thinking about their food taste and keep craving for it. Service was great so we gave the sever big tips. I told the server this restaurant food was the best Mexican food I ever tasted in Virginia.
I can tell the chef trying to cook the food with fresh and professionally. And the bartender is definitely professionally trained because taste is amazing. Alcohol and mix ratios are just perfect.
I will definitely come back for sure.

Overall this was a very good experience. They have a ton of gluten free options if you need that (I do) and small vegetarian menu.
The margaritas were strong and good, though I was surprised the cost of the drink was more than my meal. We went in the middle of the day, so service was quick and the food came out fast and hot.

I Love their food. In my entire life I have been to countless Mexican restaurants, & this place did not disappoint us at all!
Our server was nice, she was little busy but kept checking up on us.
Food was Amazing! I love the trio fajitas, chicken cooked well, shrimps were big and tasty.
Almost all their dishes come with small shells which is different than other restaurants. Shell was little hard, but not bad.
My friend took Carne Asada but it wasn’t as great as other dishes, but still good.
But our Most Favorite dish was Tres Leche! They make it So Delicious. The chef knows the proper density of the milk, how much it needs to stay soaked & not to be cheap with milk at all.
Tres Leche is one of my favorite dessert, and many restaurants end up making it dry, but not this place.
Tres Leche is their Winner dish!

This is a my first time eating here. The restaurant was clean and quiet. The waiter was nice and really knew the drink menu well which was a key factor in picking our drinks. We would have like a more kick in the don julio margarita but the looks were great! The mojito did not disappoint but it was also lacking the kick. We started with the nacho it was well layered and we could have gotten full off of it. The kids got chicken fingers and rice .. big pieces of chicken. The rice was “splinging” according to my niece 10’years old. Barria tacos could have used more flavor same with the fajita and ranchero bowl minus cheriso which the flavor may have been in . We would love the music and the chill environment. I’m not sure I would come again. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t outstanding. But who am I to judge. Come see for yourself…

The staff is super friendly. The place has been beautifully decorated. Since this was my first time here, I order a couple of my favorite dishes. Everything I order was very flavorful and to my husband’s delight none of it was spicy. (I love spicy food) anyways if you are craving Mexican food or something close to it this is the place. I can’t wait for them to get their liquor license and try out their margaritas.

I ordered the taco combo and chose two chicken and one steak, & it came with rice and beans. The rice & beans were barely warm, but the tacos were hot (temperature wise), and I enjoyed the lime and fresh vegetables on top.
I recommend this establishment & will definitely be returning

Who’s got that friend when you were kids, that you know when you go over to their house, his or her mom is always in the kitchen making some AMAZING food?!?! NOW, we all have that friend!!! Uncle Rico’s Cantina will not disappoint!!! Close your eyes and point to anything on the menu and it’ll be GOOD!!! The service is incredible and friendly and the drinks will put you into that perfect state of Bliss! I’m going to spend multiple paychecks eating and drinking at this place!!! We had high hopes coming into this restaurant because they had a little pop up shop at the Latino Festival in Manassas Park not too long ago and their tacos were amazing. When we came into the restaurant, the service was okay but the problem was when we got our food.
The food tasted as if it had no seasoning whatsoever, we ordered the steak and rice, the tacos de lengua, the sopes de carne asada and 2 tacos de carne asada. When I went to taste my sopes, the flavor that hit my tongue was absolutely horrendous. I can’t describe what it tasted like but it didn’t taste well. The best way to put it was that it looked more pale colored and the texture was terrible, it tasted like they had recently just taken it out of the freezer and didn’t season it.
I understand that most foods are frozen to which I have no problem but the real problem begins when it tastes like I’m eating raw meat even though it’s fully cooked. Our waitress saw that I didn’t like my food so she asked if I wanted something else but after trying everyone’s food I decided that I wasn’t going to eat there.
The price for everything was ridiculous because no one would’ve thought that the food would taste that way.
Overall, I always recommend trying it out but this was just my personal experience.

*updated* Javi is a gem. If you are lucky enough to get him as your server, he had great recommendations for the new menu and nothing disappointed! I love coming here and getting any of the tacos! Birria tacos are AMAZING! Margaritas or mojitos are also a must with dinner! I will be back soon!

The food was out fast but all at the same time, we wanted more beers but the server was in the kitchen the whole time. Finally got another round but we were done eating already so we sat there chatting. I asked for the bill and decided to pay with cash. Once the server took it, he came back to the table to ask if I wanted my 25$ in change. This rubbed me the wrong way and we all left without it. Will not be returning any time soon.
It’s unfortunate because this place used to be super great, I told everyone about it and now it’s just sad. Hope things change back, but I’m not counting on it.
