Great authentic Greek food in a cozy and romantic atmosphere. An interesting wine selection including old world reds and whites.
Servers were fantastic.and the live acoustic guitar playing was the cherry on top.

There is something magical about listening to Spanish guitar on a warm evening, especially while enjoying delicious Greek food. Every dish we tried was wonderful, and the polenta was the highlight for me. The staff was incredibly patient, never making us feel rushed, and they kept our glasses full the entire time. A perfect mix of great music, food, and hospitality.

Exceptional! We chose Christakis as the location for my friend’s bachelorette dinner and we were blown away. Mike, the owner, set us up in a private outside area complete with welcome sign, rose stems and plate. Beyond that, the service was warm and the food delicious! The bride is Greek and gave it a 10/10!

I grew up in a predominately Greek neighborhood in Chicago which started my love affair with Mediterranean cuisine. Since moving to California, I’ve been on a hunt for Greek Greek food, particularly: avgolemono soup, a classic fresh Greek salad, and saganaki. All of those things are here and while I’ve yet to try the flaming cheese at this location, the lemon chicken soup snaps so hard. It’s been perfectly executed with silky tempered eggs, the perfect amount of citrus, and a speckling of dried chicken bits. I feel at home here and will make this my go-to Greek spot, especially during this time of the year when Greek penecilin is essential. Unfortunately the soup disappeared before I thought of writing this review and taking a photo but it’s not about the photo when it comes to that soul-saving soup

I went to Cristaki’s with a gift card from a friend who commented it was one of his favorites….and that first visit we loved it. Guitar playing next to a lovely outdoor fountain under twinkling lights; every food course was a delight. We immediately thought this is a new favorite. Well that changed last week we had some guests from out of town visiting and we took them to our “favorite place.” It was such a disappointment. Most of our appetizers and entrees were dry, or covered with too much sauce, and generally not tasty. The service was cold and unfriendly, with nobody checking on waters and only occasionally stopping over. It was frankly embarrassing, as we had been raving about our first experience. Then unbeknownst to me, my parents went to Cristakis this past weekend, having heard us refer to it in the past – without prompting they said their food was such a disappointment, very overcooked / dry, and service was “ok,” but not great. I don’t know what has happened to this restaurant, whether they have had a change with their chef…or maybe I jumped to conclusions too quickly regarding our first visit being so wonderful. To make matters worse, the menu and dishes are not inexpensive, so it is very unfortunate that for the price being paid for a good meal, that the food was so poor.

This is one of those rare places that feels like home. Family-owned, Mike is incredibly kind, carrying and always welcoming. The entire staff each server, host, cook are exceptional they know us all by name. The food is consistently excellent, never once have I had a bad experience and they truly take care of their customers every single time. From the peaceful live music on certain nights to dealing with my 3 crazy young kids. It’s our #1 spot here in OC and my wife and kids love coming here and highly recommend it! We appreciate you Always taking care of us efcharistó!!

Love Greek Food and this restaurant is like a hole in the wall but nice and cozy with a cute outside patio. Their lamp chop was so tasty. As well as ribeye steak. I always come back since it’s locally.
