It was junky, and ratty inside. But I didn’t care cause that’s usually those spots have the best tacos. The tacos were 5 dollars per taco
The taco dinner was 16 dollars!!!!
I was thinking these must be the best tacos how expensive they are. My favorite part is the attitude I immediately got from the twin behind the counter. She had the worst attitude, and was being sassy, to the point I almost walked out. And I really should have. But I was thinking maybe these are some really good tacos for the attitude I’m getting. I shoulda have left. My food came out hot! A plus. But My food was nasty. Beans were watery, The rice was dried out and plain. The tacos!!!! The tortillas weren’t fresh. The tacos had so much fat in them. I constantly had to spit out a piece of fat. There was no seasoning on the meat. No flavor no salt. Best part is the sauce they gave me was slightly opened and spilled all over the bottom of my bag. Which I do kinda feel like it was done on purpose. I wasn’t even given salsa verde. And them tacos need salsa so bad. After my couple of bites and I couldn’t take it anymore, my stomach was upset. I was so gassy. Bleh
What’s more upsetting was there was about 7 different taco places on the street, let alone there was 3 different taco places in the parking lot. Waste of my money.
If you come to south side you get rice beans and 3 tacos, with Escabeche, green and red salsa. For 12 dollars and you get all that with no attitude from some young twins taking your order.
The problem started from the moment we arrived at the restaurant, the lady running the front end as the waiter/register wasn’t wearing a mask. She would go from table to table without wearing one or by the registers when ringing out customers.
Next problem was the food, again falling on the same lady. Never wrote our order down, causing lots of mistakes on our orders. I asked for my torta to have no beans or no ice on my horchata… yet still got it like that. Another friend asked for chicken and got carne asada again.
Unfortunately, this place has lost my business and we will not be returning.
I swear good Mexican food should never be pricey and this place is definitely overpriced. Put some of the profit into learning how to season your food and cleaning your restaurant.
