This place is Amazing! I got the Delmonico Ribeye steak and it was so good(and huge), it was cooked so perfectly. My husband got the the Rex burger and it was delicious. We got our little one the Mac n cheese and fruit, and the bread and butter served before our food was fantastic! We loved everything, the food, the atmosphere (we sat outside near the fire), how everything was presented, everything was beyond wonderful. The servers and hosts especially were really amazing

My husband and I had a fantastic anniversary dinner here! Everything that hit the table was amazing. Our server, Hayden, was an absolute delight. He has excellent table management skills; our drinks never ran low and we wanted for nothing, but it didn’t feel like he was at the table too often, either. He went the extra mile to make sure we had an unforgettable night. No notes! We would highly recommend the Buffalo Tenderloin Carpaccio and butter aged NY Strip.

Ok, this place is AMAZING! They truly brought the correct restaurant into the old Rex. We had dinner last night. Our service from Joseph was so amazing that we came back for brunch today. The oysters and calamari are amazing by far one of the best calamari plates I’ve ever had. The 50/50 burger was great. My wife liked the BBQ chicken as well.
For brunch, we had the steak and eggs and fish and chips. AMAZING!!! I loved my fish and chips, and the filet was awesome. The crust was the best flavor. The worst part was that we wanted to try more but we were full. We will be back so amazing.

I had the dry-aged ribeye and honestly, it was one of the best cuts I’ve ever had—tender, deeply flavorful, and clearly handled with care. The sides aren’t just an afterthought either—the truffle fries were addictively crisp, and the lobster mac? Decadent in the best way.
Service was warm and attentive without being overbearing. Our server knew the menu inside and out, made excellent recommendations, and timed everything perfectly.
Buffalo Block combines classic steakhouse tradition with modern finesse—and does it flawlessly. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Billings, this is the kind of meal that makes a lasting impression. Five stars, no doubt.

Steak was done perfectly. The sides were excellent. There was a special for a tomahawk ribeye for two, and that was what we ordered.

Super nice restaurant. Beautiful interior with a full bar. The staff was incredible. The food was quite pricey, but the level of service we experienced made it worth it! Fresh baked roll with a baked cheese top. Absolutely delicious way to start the meal. We had the half order shrimp cocktail and it was fantastic. A little more horseradish in the sauce would have been amazing. Both of us got the filet, perfect medium rare cook. The asparagus and fingerling potatoes were sensational. The lobster mac and cheese was incredible as well. The sauce was a little runny and collected on the bottom of the bowl, but dipping the noodles back in was fine. Would have been epic with a thicker sauce. Nice crispy bread crumb topping gave the mac and cheese an awesome texture.

Wow! Incredible all around. Sarah, the house sommelier, was absolutely wonderful as our wait staff for our visit. The space itself is warm, welcoming, and sophisticated. And the food… My goodness everything was perfectly done, delicious, and lovely. You can feel the chefs love for it all in every bite.

Amazing experience! It is a very high-end restaurant and worth every penny. This will be reserved for our special occasions! The woodfire in the open kitchen to the table side preparation of the sea food fettuccine was incredible! The best thing for me is they had a gluten-free protocol in place. With Celiac’s, it’s hard to find a safe restaurant!

We visited Buffalo Block for the first time and we were absolutely impressed! I had the prime rib and it was cooked to perfection. It was so good I could taste almost every flavor of the seasoning and still taste the (locally-sourced) beef! The portions were on point. My husband had the bone-in (also locally-sourced) pork chop and it was HUGE! But still soft and juicy while being thoroughly cooked. The server was so gracious and attentive, even for as busy as she was. Overall, a great experience that must be repeated!
