Nice little spot with some very tasty pizza. Pizza sauce had a nice tang to it. Little off the beaten path, but worth the effort if you’re touring the Wall Street area. Short walk from the Charging Bull.

Came here to see about vegan options as there’s vegan pie on their menu, but no vegan slices so got some yummy garlic rolls that came with a good cup of sauce. Nice staff.
Flight of stairs down into pizza place. Additional stairs to restroom.

Our waiter was so genuinely kind – we loved her! And the pizza, normal and gluten free, was incredible! Highly recommend this spot after a day walking around Liberty Island, Ellis Island, and NYC

The Pizza here is . The Cheese to Sauce ratio is on point. It is not greasy at all and it has the right amount of crispiness. My mom had the Mushroom Slice. They did not hold back on the Mushrooms. They also have Pastas, Sandwiches and Appetizers. The prices are average. The only thing as far as the place itself, is that, you have to go down a steep set of stairs. To go into the seating area you go up another set of stairs but less stairs than to enter. The service is quick and efficient.

Veggie Slice -$6
A little on the expensive side based on price and size but it’s so delicious. The veggies tasted so good, I wonder what they put on them. One of the best pizzas in NYC. Can’t wait to try more pizzas from Grotto.
I went back from more, I got the grandma and eggplant slice. Both were delicious. Can’t wait to try even more.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed eating here! They have excellent gluten free pizza, which is somewhat difficult to find. The staff there was super helpful and the atmosphere was cozy.
We enjoyed it so much we hoped to go back and get a pizza to take back with us on the plane ride home, but they were unfortunately closed. Definitely recommend and we will go back again if we’re ever back in NY!

While on vacation in New York we stumbled across Grotto’s Pizzeria. WOW! Best New York pizza you’ll find. They serve it up hot and fresh and toss in a small garlic roll. You really need to treat yourself to some great dining and great service.

Great pizza and great people! They were so friendly and the food was up there for best we had on our trip. We also met the sweetest woman there who showed us around the financial district. It was a perfect introduction to New York pizza!

Ordered a gluten free pepperoni pizza and added ricotta to it. What I got instead was a gluten free crust, completely covered with ricotta and 5 pepperonis on it, WITHOUT sauce. I asked why it was without sauce and was told I ordered it that way. They literally asked if they could just put sauce directly on top of my pizza and never offered to remake it. I told them that I would like them to remake it and I didn’t mind waiting, at that point, the cashier rolled her eyes at me. I waited a few minutes then received, you guess it, my original pizza with blobs of sauce on each slice.
I thought this was an authentic pizza place, I didn’t know I had to specify that I wanted sauce on my pepperoni pizza.
Would not recommend going here, rude, not accommodating to their customers and mediocre pizza (if it’s made correctly).
