Really good taco place on the main street. Seat yourself and take a look at the menu on the wall. Really cheap food and so tasty. The tacos were incredible and of course they have Mexican Coke. When they bring out your food, they also bring out a container with salsa, limes, guacamole. They also bring out a small plate with grilled onions and jalapenos. I will definitely come back when I’m back in San Luis.

The tacos were good. But a little smaller than I imagined. The ones IN Tijuana are usually bigger in my opinion.

The meat in the tacos was superb though. Better than most places in Tijuana, and definitely better than what you get at pretty much all places in the (US) states.

Their menu is also very different from most of the taquierias that I’m used to in TJ too.

Also, I felt like the food was a bit on the pricey side. Maybe because it is very close proximity to the border. I guess the place is pretty famous too.

All in all it was pretty good.

Just be careful paying in dollars, I’d suggest paying in Pesos. Their exchange rate (tipo de cambio) was pretty poor (like 17 pesos to a dollar when the normal rate is around 18.5 to 19 in TJ right now) but we had little choice since the closest ATM that we could find on Google Maps is almost 10 to 15 minutes away.

Also, just a travelers tip in going anywhere , always make sure that they don’t try to charge you for items they you didn’t buy, or charge a different rate than what is on the menu for the items.

This place has excellent salsa and condiments to compliment thier mouth watering tender carne asada. They have bar seating around the grill where for many years the same lady works to create your order. Hard to visit san luis rio colorado without stopping in.

The waitress we got was sick, kept coughing and had a runny nose. Sick people should not be serving food. Should not be working at all.
