Excellent anniversary dinner experience! We enjoyed every minute with our amazing server, Isaac. He was so personable and attentive, timing everything perfectly throughout our meal. We ordered the Purveyor old fashions for pre-dinner cocktails, enjoyed the buttery grilled oysters for appetizer and shared the fantastic rack of lamb and blackened cobra entrees. The food was perfectly cooked and deliciously seasoned. Hats off to the chef too! Dessert was a delectable chocolate bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. The ambience was very nice with dimmed lighting and softly playing music in the background. The single rose in a bud vase was the perfect table decor. Our sweet note was a nice finishing touch. Thank you Isaac! Thoroughly enjoyed our evening here, highly recommend and will definitely return.

The food was outstanding! I had the Poulet Rouge Chicken. I didn’t realize chicken could be so flavorful. They were more than happy to accommodate my food allergies which was very nice. Our server Zach, was just wonderful. Such a kind, polite and attentive young man. He appeared completely dedicated to excellent customer service and his continuous warm smile made the entire experience so pleasant. The evening was just a bundle of good feelings. ❤️ Perhaps the delicious espresso martini had a little to do with that as well.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Vintage Year in Montgomery, Alabama, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional.
️ Food & Flavor
My main course was the 8oz House Cut Filet Mignon, paired with a Hasselback Potato, Citrus Grilled Asparagus, and Blistered Tomatoes. Every bite was cooked to perfection — tender, flavorful, and beautifully balanced.
To start, I ordered two shareable plates:
Seafood Dynamite Dip featuring Gulf shrimp, oysters, crawfish tails, andouille sausage, and a touch of sriracha — rich, bold, and indulgent.
Vintage Crab Cakes served with corn salsa, VY remoulade, and basil oil — crisp on the outside, delicate inside, and bursting with fresh flavor.
Atmosphere & Service
The atmosphere was contagiously relaxing and calm, making it easy to unwind. Sitting at the bar added an extra layer of enjoyment — watching the bartender skillfully mix drinks was both entertaining and enlightening. Service was timely and attentive, ensuring our meals arrived promptly without ever feeling rushed.
Overall Impression
Vintage Year delivers a refined yet welcoming dining experience. From the expertly prepared dishes to the inviting atmosphere and efficient service, it’s a restaurant that truly elevates a night out in Montgomery. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable meal.

We loved this place! The food was so tasty and amazing, high quality meat and not too greasy. Super friendly and attentive service and overall it’s such a cute spot! Would definitely come back 🙂

One of the more fine dining options in Montgomery, I have put off the trying Vintage Year for a while because I was worried it might not live up to the hype or be worth the money. On a spontaneous date night we went full send with a four course meal and cocktails. Everything was spectacular and the service was top notch. We didn’t need a reservation on a Wednesday night. The salad and the filet were both amazing. I hate how much I enjoyed it because I will be back soon, everything was great. Isaac was our server and he’s great at his job.

Revisited for our anniversary and Joshua took great care of us. Everything was great and worth every cent.

We really liked our food and cocktails during our visit here at Vintage Year. The waitress was great to our group. This wasn’t the negative on our Service. The problem was with the Hostess who was rude and not very pleasant to deal with from making our reservation or during our time in the restaurant. I would still recommend going here, but the owners should keep an eye on how the hostess interacts with patrons.

While working in Montgomery, I came here for dinner about once weekly for 5 months. The staff were all polite and service well-paced. Zack has a warm personality and was the first to recognize that I was a repeat patron. We had a joke for a little while about “my table” because I would make a reservation (easy to do on Resy) and it would automatically assign me to the same table for a long time. James Brian has dry humor and perfect delivery. Both of them will have a conversation with you if time allows and that’s what you’re looking for. I am fond of the talks we had.

Food-wise, if you’re concerned about expense, go on a Tuesday. You can get a decent-sized burger and 1 oz of the bourbon special for about $25. I typically spent more than I personally would have since I had a meal stipend through work. I frequently got the filet (medium rare) and it was done perfectly. One time, the seasonal vegetable was “blistered tomato” and even though I don’t normally like tomatoes, someone figured out how to make them palatable – it was almost like a burst of spaghetti sauce flavor. I tried the oysters once and they were small, but that can be expected when you’re not right on the gulf and season may make a difference. There is a drink menu, but they will likely accommodate if you order something else. Extensive bourbon/whiskey selection.

Coming here was one of the highlights of each week. Try them out!

While reservations are recommended, our group of 4 out of towners was seated promptly without one. The food overall had wonderful flavor minus a touch of seasoning. My only complaint was that I found the root vegetables (carrots with the scallops and sweet potatoes with the salad) to be cooked inconsistently. While some were the perfect consistency others felt a little undercooked. Other than that, the cocktails, charcuterie with cheese, scallops, and strawberry olive oil short cake were all lovely. Additonally, our server was attentive and ensured we were well taken care of even as the restaurant filled up.This place is a hidden gem in an area that seems to be lacking fine dining options.

Everything about Vintage Year is absolutely stunning! The decor is classy and not over done, the service is attentive, professional and very knowledgeable and the food is perfectly divine! We started with the Yellowfin Tuna which just melts in your mouth then shared the Passion Fruit Salad which was the daily special salad. It was definitely special, those passion pearls were fun and delicious! Our entrees were just as spectacular as the appetizers! Perfectly cooked filet and sweet buttery crab cakes made the entire meal unforgettable. Definitely worth the visit and will return when we’re traveling through again!
