What a great place. Downtown Sinton, TX. Perfectly done southern comfort food. I had the chicken fried chicken with salad bar and soup of the day (Chicken noodle). Sharon had the soup and salad. The salad bar was basic but everything was super fresh. My chicken fried chicken was perfect. Crispy brown crust, moist tender chicken breast. We are definitely planning another visit.

2023 vist: You know those small town comfort food places have the best food, and Back Street will definitely live up to your expectations. Chicken-Fried steak or chicken, delicious steaks, fish, Diablo chicken, burgers, and Italian options give you plenty of reasons to come back to try different selections next time.
The Onion Rings or Cordon Blue Balls make great starters. Or you could go for the Salad or Bean bar for healthier options.

Wow, what a great find. Delicious home cooked food. Great size portions. Amazing service. I will be making this my Sunday lunch spot. I had the catfish plater, huge baked potatoe, and trip to the salad bar. They even have help you have homemade beans and corn bread.
The fish was amazing, the potato cooked just right. My guest had the chicken fried steak. I sampled it, tender with Great flavor.

Completely unorganized staff. A lobby full of people waiting to eat because friends reservations seem more important. We called at lunch time and were told they don’t do reservations but, yet when we got to the restaurant there were several tables reserved. We went a 1 1/2 hour early to make sure to get a table but instead of a first come first serve they chose to leave 20+ people in the lobby. For a first visit, I was definitely disappointed and will probably not recommend unfortunately because there is other small businesses to choose from.

Stopped in for a quick lunch break and had the grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Tilicia was my server and did an excellent job throughout my visit. I’ll be back again if I happen to make a stop in Sinton.
