We had a fantastic meal at Pete’s. We celebrated my husband’s birthday and they did a wonderful job making it very special. The service was impeccable..They came back to our table many times to make sure that we are happy with our drink, happy with our food , checking to see if we were ready to order, always making sure that we are taking care of. Our server, Lar introduced himself upon coming to our table and was very personable, he did a great job making our experience very memorable. Can’t wait to go back again!
Be sure to make reservations. We lucked out and arrived during the happy hour and we were able to get a couple of our drinks and our appetizer at a discount. Lovely views of the ocean and somewhat of a glimpse of the sunset.

Everything about this place top to bottom was both professional with the right amount of welcome feeling you get when you walk inside. I tried both the squash over toasted focaccia dish and the branzino. Both dishes absolutely great.
But oh my word that squash starter dish was one of the best appetizers/starters I’ve ever had the lemon zest on the parsley, the creamy cheese spread over the toasted the lightly salted squash.
Cmon you have to order that.

My husband and I arrived early afternoon and wanted to have a quick bite while waiting To check into the Capitola hotel down the street.
We were able to get in right away and had a wonderful view of the beach. The hostess and our waiter were so attentive, kind and had a little bit of humor, which I can always appreciate.
We had fresh oysters included their homemade hot sauce, which was so good and shared a delicious Sandwich. Everything was fresh and tasty.
Next time we plan on experiencing their dinner menu. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

This is my favorite restaurant in the Santa Cruz area and my husband and I are big foodies. This is the most romantic restaurant in Santa Cruz, overlooking the ocean. The food always has so much flavor, like a Michelin star restaurant. The service is amazing.
They have the most amazing oysters and caviar. The ambience is beach elegance.

What a great find!!! We stopped in here for a quick bite during happy hour. Sat on their balcony overlooking the Soquel Creek that ends at Capitola Beach. Nico was our waiter and he couldn’t have been more attentive. The recommendations he gave were top-notch! Our favorite dish was the Bok Choy starter off the dinner menu. We inhaled that so fast we forgot to take a photo. Their beet salad was great as well. We also enjoyed their crispy seasoned french fries off the happy hour menu which were very tasty. Unfortunately, we weren’t there for dinner, but definitely look forward to our return!!!! Huge thanks to Nico for a wonderful experience, we will be back.

The food was truly first class. We started with the mussels, and they were so exceptional that I jokingly asked, “Who prepared this?” Moments later, one of chefs came out personally to check on us. We raved about the broth – rich, fragrant, and completely out of this world, and he seemed genuinely touched by the praise. That moment alone said so much about the pride and care behind the scenes.
For my main course, I ordered the filet, and it did not disappoint. Perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and beautifully presented, it was the kind of dish that reminds you why great restaurants stand apart. Pete’s delivers not just outstanding food, but a memorable dining experience that makes you feel truly welcomed.

We went to dinner at Pete’s for the first time last night and it was incredible! I loved the way all of the dishes are presented, very thoughtful and pretty. Mike, our server, was very attentive and we also enjoyed chatting with the owner, Sarah.
The ahi appetizer was superb, focaccia freshly baked and delicious, our mains and desserts were yummy as well!
It’s perfect for a date night! The lychee martinis were outstanding the best I’ve had since I was in Hawaii!

Great little spot in Capitola! Service, food and views are all top notch.
We were lucky enough to walk in on a Saturday night at 8pm and get a table. We had the Stripes Bass and both pastas which were all so good. The staff is very accommodating and friendly – you feel very welcomed here.
Would highly recommend for lunch or dinner if you’re in the area.
