Now this was some good eating! I had received a few recommendations to try here. I gave it a go, and a good go it was! The staff thought I was playing when I said I wanted everything. I didn’t get the gumbo because it had okra and that’s not pbr of my favs, not the chicken spaghetti. Everything else I ordered. Somehow I missed getting my dressing. I was disappointed when I got home.
I thoroughly enjoyed my food. This will be a definite return spot for me.
The atmosphere got a rating of 3 because it’s just an open ” cafeteria”. No bells or whistles, just somewhere to eat.

I am not sure what’s happening with ms Audrey’s but I’ve been getting old refried chicken . They reassured me they don’t do old chicken. I let it go. TODAY 01/13/26 I made it there at 11:56, they open at 11:30. Guess what!!! I received yet another old refried chicken wings. No way I make it there 20 mins after opening and my chicken is hard and brown. They start off with yesterday’s chicken to serve the next day & that’s not right. I spent $26 for 2 plates. I don’t think I’ll be returning! I wish it was a way to add my photos and receipt showing the times.

This food was home cooked. The food had flavor and wasn’t overpriced. I was pleasantly pleased with my whole fried catfish. The atmosphere was welcoming. The staff was friendly. I to will definitely be going back.

This place is the best place on the coast to get soul food. The food is fresh every day and you know it’s great because there’s always a line, but the wait is worth it. Some of her menu items are too small of servings. On Thursdays she cooks ox tails. You get only four pieces of ox tails and they’re very small pieces of beef ox tails. The servings are tiny but they are very good. Because the servings are tiny you have to order more than one plate to get the expected fill of oxtail. I ordered three plates and there was only four to five pieces on a huge bed of rice and gravy. You have to go and eat here it’s a fantastic place to take your friends and family when you wanna show off. She also caters large small events. The best macaroni and cheese and do your taste buds a favor and try her creamed corn. You will certainly be back.

Called today to inquire about the menu since the menu online wasn’t too detailed and a little jumbled. I asked Ms. Audrey the size of the turkey necks for today’s special. I haven’t really had turkey necks before, so I asked how big they were. I was seeing how much meat came with the plate since I’ll be sharing it. If it wasn’t enough I was going to get something else to eat from her. With slight annoyance she answered back, “What?! Ma’am? What do you mean how big they are? They’re turkey necks size.” I was really taken aback how she responded to me and didn’t understand why she would talk like that to someone who wants to buy from her. It was belittling. I literally don’t know how big turkey necks are or how she may cut or prepare them. It was a simple question. Plus there aren’t any itemized pictures on her website of what each plate looks like so that’s why I asked. I can’t stand rude customer service. The way she handled my question was unprofessional and turned me off from ever ordering from there. I’m glad I called before I gave a cent to this business.

Simple and nothing fancy upon driving up and walking in, but don’t let it steer you away. Just walk in and get you a plate and thank me later. Some good home cooked food.

The food was terrible. I read all the great reviews and could not wait to get there. The fish was too salty, the greens were super bland, the corn was sickeningly sweet, and the peach cobbler had a boatload of nutmeg. The people were friendly enough, but everybody was moving in slow motion. I drove twenty miles to waste $40. Should have given that to the casino.

The gumbo itself warrants 5 stars. Worth the trip and price. Best I’ve ever had. This place is hard to find but apparently all the locals just know where it is. Lunch time packed with people who are in for super comfort food. There is nothing fancy here. Just good food and friendly folks running the place. It is a tiny bit pricey but I think this place is also doing community development and jobs training via the restaurant. Again, worth it.

Absolutely delicious. When you drive up the place looks like an old elementary school. We weren’t sure what we were looking for in trying to find Ms. Audrey’s as we wound our way through the neighborhood but I’m all about trying places out so we gave it a shot. OUTSTANDING!! When you walk in they have a menu written out on a white board for the specials. It’s a cafeteria style line but with down home southern grandma cookin’. Everything was the best tasting you can ever imagine. I’m originally from South Park in Beaumont Texas and we had a few places way back when that were ran by ladies that knew how to cook soul food the old ways and Ms. Audrey’s really reminded me of those times. We had Mama Dora’s back then that was setup similarly. The memories…… also the place reminded me of eating at MawMaw’s house….just great food. I had the mashed potatoes with some ox tail gravy and just that was out of this world amazing and astounding….I don’t even know how to explain in words how good this food is. I had the fried chicken and this is done so right, lightly breaded…tender….seasoned just right… Good Lord I hope she has a location in heaven. I also got the dressing, again…. absolutely amazing. I can’t stress this enough…. unbelievably delicious. We’ve been on vacation eating and all the expensive and highly recommended spots in Biloxi and this BEATS THEM ALL. I had the banana pudding for desert and it was perfect. It’s obviously a local treasure, kind of hidden back away from the beaten path but it’s worth the trek to find it. The prices are cheap for what you are getting, the portions are substantial and this is food you can taste the love in. It’s different when people are passionate about what they cook and you can really sense that here. Tip these ladies well because they are doing magic at Ms. Audrey’s Southern Kitchen.

This is a review of Thanksgiving orders. I was asked what time I wanted to pick up and I stated 1pm. Why ask what time, if you’re not going to have it ready. I thought, let me be respectful of the time I set, so I waited 10 minutes in the parking lot til 1pm on the dot. I walked on and there were +40 ppl in line. It took 2 hours and 41 minutes to get my food. WHY?!?! They knew we were coming. My understanding is this wasn’t their 1st time doing it. So, a more efficient system should’ve been established. They could have lined up a row of tables and placed each item in sections. Patrons could have grabbed each of their items, they could have verified it at the end and took payment. They could’ve had a spreadsheet with all the orders and their totals on it, readily available. They had 3 men fulfilling orders and taking them out to the cars. Here’s how it went. I gave the man my name and the package number I ordered. He meandered to the kitchen to verify the order. Then meandered back up front and began assembling the order in a box. It took him long enough to complete and forget my name. He asked my name then mozied back into the kitchen to get my total, returned and advised me of my total. Took my money then went back into the kitchen. Came back with my change then walked my order to the car and loaded it. A spreadsheet with the orders and totals could have eliminated 3-5 minutes of the process. You’re standing in line for 2hrs 41 mins and you’re thinking, I can’t start from scratch the day before Thanksgiving! I can’t, bc I ordered the food bc I didn’t want to tear myself away from my father who is in the hospital. Who I thought I wasn’t going to be away from too long this day, but I was bc of this poor distrobution system. I waited until we consumed the food before I made this review. The only thing that was good was the poundcake!!! The amount of collard greens was a bit sad and their taste was meh. I ended up cooking a head of cabbage to make up for it. The Mac & cheese . Let’s just say I had to doctor it up with milk, and cheese from Family Dollar on Thanksgiving Day. The dressing. I’m grateful my sister had made her own. Bc in the heating process, theirs was real soupy looking. I took one bite of it and dismissed it. I hate wasting food, but I threw that whole pan out at day’s end. The turkey? It was supposed to be deep fried. I’ve never had a deep fried turkey that was so dry. I literally tried to doctor it up with some Knorr Caldo de Pollo broth during the heating process. I’m not a negative person. I’m a honest person. I will give ppl/businesses the benefit of the doubt. Maybe the large Thanksgiving orders is just not their specialty. Maybe they got too overwhelmed. I have coworkers who say Ms. Audrey food is good. Maybe, I’ll pay the restaurant a visit to compare. But this was my whole experience concerning Thanksgiving dinner. Hopefully, I’ll be able to cook my own next year. I know one thing, I won’t be re-visiting this experience next year.
