Food is awesome!! The soda fountain needs to be repaired and cleaned, when refilling your cup it sprays on your hand. The staff is not super friendly. There was a meeting going on with management and staff. No one welcomed or acknowledge us. Customers should always be greeted by management and staff. When leaving we said thank you to server who was on her phone. Again, food is AWESOME possible just address customer hospitality.

While the food selection in DTWN STL could use some improvement, ole Henry’s in Jennings area with their peach cobbler and candied yams truly embody the soul of the Midwest. Go outside dtwn STL to find good food. The staff is welcoming, and the atmosphere is fantastic.

Sunday meal today was very tasteless. They had pork in the greens and beans. We were at Ohenry 2 weeks ago and they said that they cooked with turkey in the food. The food was very good. Today, Sunday, they need to fire the cook or send them to a soul food cooking school This food is plain and bland. The corn bread is so thick, tasteless, and dry. However, words of advice, if you want to keep getting customers, you need to start off by tasting your own food first before you sale it to someone else.

Came in today, first time in years. I ordered a one meat, two side plate with a turkey flat Black Eyed Peas and dressing. I also ordered a second plate with macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes, and cornbread. First of all I had a side of cranberry sauce. The cashier dropped it and went to get another one but somehow it did not make it to my bag. Also no utensils were put in the bag which is crazy if I ordered takeout. I wanted to taste the food when I got in the car but I couldn’t, I had to wait until I got home. The food was not good at all. Out of everything ordered, the only thing that was good was the Black Eyed Peas. Turkey flats were so tough I couldn’t bite them, mac and cheese and dressing were bland, sweet potatoes were just ok, cornbread was dry. Most of the food went in the trash!!

First of all, an older white man at my job told me about this place called Old Henry’s. He said the food would make me feel like I was back home with my grandma — and he wasn’t lying! The service was excellent, and everyone was super friendly. The food? Straight fire. 10/10 — I’ll definitely be back!

First of all no prices posted only the sides and up charges. The food is not what it use to be the fish is not fried to order , so it was warm the Mac was warm but now there is an up charge for Mac but at one time it was worth it; the reason for two stars was the sweet potatoes were GOOD. This was not worth 23$ . If you were to perhaps give same quality as in the past or add a dessert or beverage, then maybe. I was a frequent diner until my ninth meal would be free sadly they have lost me!

This was in fact the worst experience I have ever had at a soul food restaurant. I got there at approximately 3:30p. Upon walking in the cashier explained we must order our food to go, they were closing at 4p, although the door said open til 6p. We looked at food. Bbq was severely burnt. Looked horrible. I asked what it was and the girl at the food didn’t even know. She said it was ribs however it was actually burnt pork steaks. I asked for menu, they had none nor any pricing. I proceeded to order 6 chicken wings that she said came with 2 sides and cornbread. I ordered an additional side and supposedly my food order was $25. I was floored, I even assumed she charged me for 2 meals. Me and my dad ended up spending a total of $50. We ordered the same thing. I left looked at online menu. 6 smoked wings were priced at $12 on one website, $16 on another, but again I was charged $25. But it got worst. My chicken had not been cooked properly and had redness inside. My cabbage had just some parsley flakes as seasoning, are you serious??? What kind of soul food is this. I also ordered sweet potatoes. And they were a mess, I never tasted cinnamon, vanilla nor nutmeg. I demand my money back, all of it, I will be contacting the news media and BBB. As no pricing was presented, plus we never was issued a receipt either. Worst scam I’ve ever experienced. I will be following up with owner and all of my black affiliates. This business should be closed. Horrible food, guess pricing, and worst service as well. They didn’t know what they were selling nor any prices either. Will never go back, ever. Won’t ever recommend either. Worst experience, total waste of money.
