Reviews
There is no table service; orders are placed at the counter, and the food is brought to the table. The food was prepared in a clean manner and served on proper plates with silverware, which was appreciated.
In terms of flavor, however, it did not fully meet my expectations. Having tried many Indian restaurants, I found the food here to be average. While it was acceptable, the seasoning and spice levels were relatively mild, and the flavors were not as rich or robust as those I am accustomed to for similar dishes elsewhere.
Overall, the experience was satisfactory. The staff were friendly, helpful, and courteous, which made the visit pleasant, even though the food itself could have been better. Also it is onthe expensive side too.
The food was absolutely outstanding. The biryani was fragrant and perfectly spiced, with tender pieces of meat layered with flavorful basmati rice. The chicken karahi arrived sizzling hot, cooked in a thick tomato-based gravy infused with ginger, garlic, and green chilies — bold but beautifully balanced. Fresh naan came straight from the tandoor, soft and slightly crisp at the edges, perfect for scooping up every last bite of curry.
What truly stood out was the authenticity of the flavors. Each dish tasted freshly prepared, with spices blended to perfection rather than overpowering the palate. The portions were generous, and the presentation was simple yet appealing.
To finish, I tried their traditional kheer, which was creamy, lightly sweet, and delicately flavored with cardamom — the perfect ending to a satisfying meal.
Overall, this restaurant delivers not just delicious food, but a genuine taste of Pakistani hospitality. Whether you’re familiar with Pakistani cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates rich, comforting, and expertly crafted dishes.
I stopped at Nawab Grill while driving from Chicago to NC, and it turned out to be one of the best spontaneous food decisions I’ve made. I initially planned to order biryani, but the staff warmly encouraged me to try their buffet — and I’m so glad I did!
The chicken biryani (Pakistani style) was absolutely fantastic — flavorful, aromatic, and perfectly spiced. The chicken handi was rich, creamy, and full of depth, a true standout on the buffet. I ended the meal with their gulab jamun, which was soft, warm, and melt-in-the-mouth delicious.
The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful — clean, vibrant, and filled with a relaxing vibe. The soft, pleasant music added to the overall experience and made it feel like a mini food retreat.
Highly recommend Nawab Grill if you’re passing through Cincinnati or even if you’re local. Great food, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer.
Americans should not expect normal American service or attentiveness. This is just yummy food 🙂
All of the items felt like homely cooked and with good ingredients, our Bangladeshi taste buds could find the Desi flavors. Alu Bhurji, Halwa, Daal and chana item was exceptionally good alongside the tamarind Chatni. We went there near the buffet closing time but still the items were fresh. Last but not the least, their Chai (more like a Malai Cha) was sooooo good! We are definitely going back!
Such a good place for Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky people. Worth the 40-45 minutes drive! Highly recommend this ♥️
