Loved the restaurant for the experience of it being dog friendly. Not to mention they have a doggy menu. Our pups absolutely enjoyed it. The service was a bit slow and we didn’t really know who our waitress was because it seemed like we had several and they didn’t communicate with each other. So we had to ask a few times for different things. But overall I will definitely consider going back especially with the pups.

We arrive Saturday night and we’re seated next to another table literally a couple of feet of way when there were plenty of other tables left that we could’ve both had privacy. Everybody was annoyed, including the people sitting down, but it got much better from there, and our waitress, a blonde haired woman was absolutely delightful. Cauliflower was really great as well as the two different kinds of brussels sprouts both were excellent. I would come back for the brussel sprouts alone. The Stromboli was tasty although dry inside it did come with some ice juice sauce, but I really felt that it needed something more inside. Besides, just the plain pastrami it needed something else but overall it was good. I wouldn’t try it again, but there was other things on the menu I definitely would give it a try and I’m certainly willing to come back as overall it was a pleasant experience.

This one hurts to write. My wife and I have been coming to Scouts for nearly 10 years. It was our place. Birthdays, anniversaries, milestones—some of our favorite memories as a couple happened inside these walls. For a long time, Scouts was hands down our favorite restaurant. That’s exactly why what it’s become feels so disappointing and honestly kind of insulting.
Over the past year, it’s been a steady slide downhill. In March, the menu overhaul cut out so many of the staple dishes that made this place special in the first place. Then came the big price increases, which very clearly feel aimed at catering to the Westhaven crowd, as if longtime locals and families suddenly don’t matter anymore. On top of that, they eliminated one of the best kids menus in town. And here’s the part that’s just wild: the new menu has twice as many items for dogs/pets as it does for kids. That says a lot about who they’re prioritizing now.
The final straw was our most recent visit. We walked in at 5pm and were told we only had 45 minutes to eat because they were turning over every single table for reservations. No flexibility. No care that we were already there, spending money, and had been loyal customers for a decade. Restaurants should always hold space for walk-ins. Turning away current, paying customers in favor of hypothetical future business is just bad business—plain and simple.
Scouts didn’t just change a menu. They changed who they care about. And in the process, they lost customers who loved this place deeply. I never thought I’d be writing a one-star review for Scouts, but here we are. If you’re a family, a longtime regular, or someone looking for the restaurant this place used to be, know what you’re walking into now.
Disappointing to say the least, but it isn’t too late to correct the ship and return to the values that made this restaurant so great for many years.

After a Dickens’s Christmas in Franklin, we were looking for a dog friendly resturant. We found this little gem.
You do have to eat on the patio with your dog. It was a little windy, but we didn’t have much of a choice.
It would have been nicer if the outdoor heaters were on.
They have the cutest doggie menu.
The food was really good. The weather just hampered our experience. Will have to go again to see what the indoor experience is like.
We can imagine that during a beautiful fall, spring, or summer night, this would be a perfect place to eat.

We were greeted by the manager who was extremely nice. He even offered us a free appetizer since it was our first time. Wonderful food! Definitely get the pub rolls!! Great outdoor seating area. Super cute place, great service, and delicious food. Highly recommend!

I hate to say it, but our group of six left Scott’s Pub feeling pretty let down. We were all first-timers, drawn in by the glowing reviews, and I’d love to be kinder about it, but the experience just didn’t measure up. Nearly everyone ordered burgers, asking for medium well, and what arrived was practically raw—frustrating doesn’t even cover it. Another friend got a sandwich that showed up drowning in a skillet of cheese he had to wrestle off. As for me, I went for the fish and chips, hoping for a classic. The fries were the highlight, which isn’t saying much—they were decent but still cold and a bit soggy. The fish? Far from crispy, just a sad, soggy mess. To top it off, our waitress didn’t exactly help the vibe—she seemed outright annoyed when we asked for simple adjustments, which only added to the disappointment. I’m hoping this was just an off night for them, not the everyday norm, because I’d hate to think this is the standard. Please, Scott’s, tell me you’re better than this.

It helps that we had a beautiful day to experience outdoor dining at Scouts pub in Westhaven, but the inside is nice as well. We started with an appetizer that I believe was called Leo Bread? It was so good. Much like a toasted fococcia bread topped with cheese, tomatoes, and seasoning. Definitely give it a try. My daughter got a burger and sweet potato fries. My grandson got the best-looking grilled cheese sandwich with Mac n cheese, and I got the Birra tacos. Everything was great. For an added level of comfort, they put these battery-operated fan like things on the table to keep the bugs away from the food. Our waitress was exceptionally helpful, and I used the qr code on our bill to pay for our meal. It is a small place, so I would expect it to be filled up on the weekend. We went at around 4 on a Monday. There wasn’t a crowd at all. Parking is on the street in this work/live community, or there is a lot behind the main street at Kroger. It sits facing the main street with a park view.

I had such a fantastic salad here, it was absolutely delicious, so i hate that i have to give it a lower rating. I would absolutely highly recommend the Spiced Panzanella Salad. As for the service, we were sat at a table in the middle of the restaurant, on a night that wasn’t too busy, and waited for at least 15 minutes before we had to flag someone down to even get water. That didn’t happen, so we found another waitress, who began to serve us eventually. The service was slow from that point forward, but at least we got our food eventually.

Heard great things about the burgers at Scouts so I decided to give them a try.
It’s a small tavern set up with some table seating and a nice bar. Seemed well stocked and had a decent beer selection. I ordered a Scout Burger with white cheddar and bacon, came with steak fries.
Burger was good. Juicy, cooked to the temp I wanted but was on the bland side. Fries were good but were slightly grainy. You can tell they use quality ingredients but for the price I expected more.

Nice interior space +1 star; fresh, quality ingredients +1 star; Burger cooked to desired temp +1 star; friendly service +1 star.
I’ll go back. Would like to try some other menu options.
