Very laid back and convenient sports bar. Friendly locals and cold beer and good food. Try the burger with green beans on it. Really good. Our waitress (a recent addition to IA from MN, i forget her name) was lovely, honest and very nice. A great team member. The other servers we interacted with were also really good. We will be back for sure. Great atmosphere as well.

Open tables when we walked in and the service was fantastic. Our waitress was attentive and our food came out very quickly. We visited in the middle of the day at 1:30 with a party of 7. I had the French dip with a side of delicious cheese balls (the ranch is a must if you come (that’s pretty important for southerners)). Burgers were also enjoyed around our table. My husband said they have a delicious charbroiled flavor.

Great place, great staff. Great food. Everyone’s always very friendly. Sunday days and Monday nights can get a little busy since its the most popular place in town. So if you’re in a “big hurry” on Monday night, it’s not the place for you. But if you want a great meal at a great place, give them a try. It’s worth the wait.

Had been waiting 45 minutes since ordering our food. Food Was delivered to couple who were seated next to us/who arrived and ordered after us/but waiter gave our order to them…absolutely not the fault of that couple …but waiting for cheeseburger/fries for over 45 minutes and then have it given to someone else was unacceptable… we will never go hack.

The bar staff is amazing but the kitchen is in shambles. Waited an hour and 29 min and they hadn’t even STARTED our food order!! We paid for our drinks and left. Never again. The bar staff deserves better teamwork than this. After 24 years in the food service industry I understand staffing issues, but this is the 3rd time this has happened to us here. Again, the bar staff is wonderful.

First time visitor to the town of Clear Lake and Rookies Sports Bar. It was very busy with lots of people watching the Iowa basketball game. The servers were busy but did a good job keeping up. Beer selection was pretty good. I had a burger which was excellent and fries that were decent. Everyone I met was friendly and polite. I’d go back in case I stay in town again.

I had a wonderful brunch Sunday afternoon for a friend’s birthday! Our server was kind and attentive and we had multiple staff members stop by our table to check on us. As a fellow industry worker, I was super impressed by this. It takes a village and they have a good one! Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!!
