Luigi and Adreanna Gerardi emigrated here from Naples in 1956. In 1960 they opened a pizzeria in Somerville, and one night in 1977 Luigi stumbled upon La Rosa’s Pizzeria. Luigi, along with his nephew, Carmen Troia, purchased the restaurant in January of 1978. In 1993, Luigi’s daughter, Filomena Inghilterra, began managing the family eatery. In November of 1998, Luigi’s other daughter, Olympia Keane, came on board and has been managing La Rosa’s ever since. The entire La Rosa’s family would like to thank you for your years of loyal patronage. We truly appreciate your trust and loyalty! We will continue to do our best to provide your family with the service you expect. Here’s to many more years of family friendly Pizza and Italian food!

La Rosa has the Best Italian restaurant and pizzeria in Metuchen! Went here with my family on a Tuesday night and the food was amazing. I had the Penne Vodka with Chicken and My sister had Chicken Parm and my parents had different salad dishes. We shared an app of Garlic Bread and Meatballs. Everything was cooked perfectly and it was a delicious meal. The waitress Riley, was very friendly attentive to the table had a great attitude and lovely smile. She deserves a raise for sure. All and all a great place to enjoy an Italian meal. On Wednesdays there’s a sign saying they have live music in the evening so I’ll have to return for that sometime. The prices here are also very reasonable for the high quality of food and service. I Definitely recommend eating here!

Such good food. I liked the baked ziti. Pizza looked good too. Mozzarella sticks were good. Everything is awesome. This is real jersey pizza with yumminess. If you are in Metuchen you should come here.

Friendly waitress, clean atmosphere and excellent service. They were genuinely concerned with my Gluten Free questions and showed me a menu that has GF entrees. They checked with the kitchen and informed them of my allergy. Food was delicious, I can taste lots of fresh garlic in my chicken pasta. Definitely would come back!

A-okay pizza in a no-frills kind of setting. Came here after food shopping nearby and got a cheese slice. Added the spices like garlic, red pepper flakes, and oregano for more kick.

It was good I used to live in Metuchen 42 years ago and LaRosa Pizza was just a little place now they built it up a little bit still has the same owner it was nice to be back in the old neighborhood & the pizza was good, check this out the even have a Italian hot dog slice that must be interesting

So my fiancé and I decided to do a little pizza tour of places in the area. Second place on the list was La Rosa’s Pizza Metuchen. We ordered a plain and a pepperoni slice for us both to try and eat. So we personally thought the slices were a little under done. I felt like a few more minutes in the oven and these both would have been so so good. Definitely want to come back and ask for the pizza well done, excited to try it again.

I stopped in for a couple of slices. I have not been here in many years, since the previous owners… it was 12:30PM and the slice pies looked like they were from the day before. Each tray had a slice or two of different types of pizza. My white slice (the last white slice on the tray) was not bad. It had some crisp and pretty good flavor. My plain slice was very floppy with not such great flavor and a little greasy. I would have given fewer stars, but the memory of this place made me feel pitty. I would give it a 6.7 out of 10 on One Bite.

Decent food, and the staff was polite. Gave the delivery service woman $10.50 tip, for delivering food less than 3 miles, great right! Pizza was a close 2nd, 2 the pizza I had as a child. If I’m in the area again, I’ll stuff my face with a LARGE….

Why would you ever sell a pizza with soup on top? The vodka chicken was so oily and so saturated with basically a vodka sauce soup it was inedible. We threw it away into the garbage. I work in NYC and LI. Worst pizza I have ever had in my entire life. Disgusting!
