It’s Greek To Me has been a North Jersey staple for decades — and for good reason. For over 30 years, they’ve been serving the same homemade Mediterranean dishes passed down through generations. Founded in 1986 by James, Stacy, and their mother Ero, the family’s recipes still guide the kitchen today, and you can taste that tradition in every bite.
Fresh, simple, authentic Greek flavors… just like YiaYia used to make.
From the moment you walk in, the bright, welcoming atmosphere feels like stepping onto a sunny Greek island. It’s the perfect spot for an informal, moderately priced lunch or dinner with consistently delicious food.
If you’re craving true Greek comfort food made with heart, this place never disappoints.

Absolutely marvelous service and excellent food!! Each of us enjoyed what we ordered. It all was so good we passed samples to each other of our dishes. Felt like you were in your Greek grandmother’s kitchen!!

Simple and classic Greek food, done well. Gyro could have used more browning but tasted as expected and thought the beans could use more acid. Otherwise, everything came out quick and this is a good place for lunch. The Fort Lee location has parking which is a plus.

While visiting my mom in New Jersey, we came to this restaurant for a late breakfast/early lunch. The food was delicious, and the staff were all very kind and friendly. Highly recommend!

Very good spot! I went to Fort Lee park today and we decided to make a stop to get some food, I loved the Pork and shrimp suvlaki was grilled so the flavor was amazing, the service was great the guy kept checking on us we didn’t wait too long for the food, and overall not too pricey. Recommended it!

Not tasty at all We had a squid and the portion was really small. Nothing on the squid, just simply burned on the grill.

Great on food service and atmosphere. Very reasonable prices, I recommend the mix grill plate. Outdoor tables too. Beautiful and very clean on the inside. What stood out the most was the quality ingredients, from bread, olive oil, and main course. Gyro meat is the best we’ve ever had.

The wait staff is nice and attentive but the food itself is overly salted, especially the gyros, the fries soggy, and the pitas no better than what you would get microwaved from your local supermarket. Judging by the owner’s reply, it also shows they can’t take criticism from a customer, typical of some of their type by the way, who think they are above criticism in the kitchen.

I found pieces of glass in my chicken gyro. My order also had multiple notes stating “no onion” and luckily it had onion because otherwise I wouldn’t be eating that slow and picky and would swallow more pieces of glass. I broke my teeth and had to spend today at doctor’s. I ate here a few times before and it was okay, the service was very unfriendly. This place should be closed after this incident, the hostess couldn’t care less and haven’t even notified the manager about it, I was holding a piece of glass in my hand and they just ignored it.

Chill spot, one of the best gyros I have ever had. It is a little pricey but worth it. I ate there about 5 times in a 3 week period and the food was very consistent. Make sure you ask for extra napkins.
