Went to this restaurant because we were walking around and the pics looked great. Unfortunately, it’s not suited for big groups. They have a pizza for “bambino’s,” but the place isn’t very kid-friendly. The owner was very rude because we wanted to add additional pizzas. The menu is limited to just pizza, which pretty good but then again you’re in France. You’ll get good pizza, but it comes with a classic French attitude.

We were in the mood for pizza, and this pizzeria caught our eye. It’s located right in the center, in the pedestrian zone. What drew us in were the reasonable prices and, most importantly, the Neapolitan-style pizza. The staff was friendly and helpful, though not everyone spoke English, but that’s pretty standard here. The pizza tasted great, and we definitely recommend it. Next time we’re craving pizza, we know where to go.

Nice atmosphere, we had a very friendly waitress, who was helpful with our ordering in partly french partly english and immediately bringing the kids a little toy drawing gadget.
Unfortunately we had a similar experience with our Pizzas being burnt on the bottom rather badly. For the kids it was uneatable.
The waitress was apologetic and offered twice to bring a new one. However the kids were through with their Pizza experience for the evening. So we left with at least not paying for kids Pizza.

Pretty place in the exterior as this is in a very nice stone house and in the heart of the city.
Good looking pizzas but too soft. None of the parts of the pizzas are crunchy.
The young blond lady is extremely rude and certainly serving as an obligation as part of her job. Every time I asked for something, she answered in a dry and rude manner.
The green salad was not washed and I felt kind of sand while chewing it.
Toilets very dirty.
The service is very poor and a restaurant with good pizzas but without heart on the service, will not go that far.

Pizza was not bad except for the fact it was totally burnt. 5 pizzas, 5 burnt. Minimum of 20€ for each pizza. We asked for one of them to be replaced (the most burnt was not eatable) but the waitress told us “it’s not burnt, it’s normal” (obviously in French, because she didn’t even try to talk some other language). She was pissed off from the first second we gently asked for a new pizza and only few minutes of arguing the pizza was replaced with a new one. During all our stay the waitress kept making fun of us with the other tables with French customers saying with loud voice “arrivederci”, “Italians here, Italians there” and other stupid things. We just stayed in our table enjoying the evening not considering the hostile situation that she built up around us. I never experienced this kind of situation in all my life. Just an advise: if you hate your job and to relate to foreign people just find other one.
The photo is of one of the pizza we didn’t change. The other one was more burnt.

Pizza was just ok, but don’t expect too much… Service was ok, as we get used to hospitality in France The prices are ridiculously expensive even for Porto Vechio. Bottle of water 6 eur One of the pizzas was completely burned out, not a big deal for them…

Pizza du Bastion is located on a prime location on the town square. Lucky for us there was a table available on the side. The waiters are quite fast and the pizza’s were also baked very fast.

More important the pizza’s were delicious!!
