Another exceptional meal at Deer Lake Pub! I never cease to be amazed with the new specials as well as the original favorites. They go well above pub fare here.
Fantastic bartender, too! They were out of what I wanted, and he made me something even tastier.
I was excited to see several tempting new additions to the menu. My husband ordered his usual favorite, the fish and chips. A generous portion of battered haddock, always cooked to perfection.
I decided to try their new shortrib sandwich and sweet potato fries.
I was blown away by the delicious blend of flavors! The meat was pull-apart tender, and the cut of beef was easily 2 inches thick. The sweet potato fries were crispy, tender, and perfectly seasoned.
We’ll be back again soon to try some more of the new menu items!
Their bourbon pecan pie is the BEST!

This place was nice. The restaurant side was quite and relaxed ans the bar side gave off good time vibes. The food was good, (crab fries the best part of the meal) The staff friendly. I didnt care for the sugar plum cider as it was very strong, but everything else was nice. The music spot on for us 80s babies.

Chili and wings were good but when you order fries and you just leave them. Could’ve got more at Rutter’s for the same price. Added photos to trip advisor. It isn’t the point of saying anything because you put them in the basket.

So glad we ended up at Deer Lake after our hike at Hawk Mountain today, we loved everything! The house made mozzarella sticks were the best I’ve ever had. For dinner we both got the brisket platter, delish! Our family ordered the steak and crab cakes, both loved them as well. The desserts and coffee topped the night off, but our amazing waitress Joanie really made everything that much more enjoyable! She was excellent! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We eat at Deer Lake Pub almost every Friday, and it’s honestly our go-to spot. Everyone there is so friendly and personable and always makes us feel welcome. The food is consistently great, the drinks are delicious, and the whole place just feels comfortable and easy. Deer Lake Pub is hands down my favorite restaurant in all of Schuylkill County.

Food was amazing! New menu, new owners, reasonable prices, nice portions, and open on Mondays when most other places in the area are closed. Private dining rooms, outdoor seating, and occasional weekend entertainment. Highly highly recommended!
