We had the Brussel Sprouts for an appetizer. Fried but not greasy. The bitter sprout pairs well with a balsamic glaze and crisp bacon bits. This is not your mom’s boiled Brussels. These are WAY better.
I had the filet and corn risotto. Steak was melt in your mouth perfectly cooked, no seasoning or butters were needed to enhance anything about this. I’m a fan of corn and the corn risotto was on point. Not too sweet but just enough to pair well with my steak.
My husband had the NY strip and upon first glance he said it looked like a lot of disappointment (steaks he has had in the past). It was ANYTHING but disappointing, he ate every bite with a smile and moan. The asparagus had a salty seasoning that made it the best asparagus we have had in a while.
We finished off dinner with the highly recommended and coveted apple crumble bread pudding. It came with a scoop of ice cream and reminded me of the best apple French toast. Warm bread melting the ice cream makes you want to sop this up like biscuit and gravy.
Friday nights come with live music in the upstairs bar area. We enjoyed the talents of the singer and the noise level was to be expected with a live singer. No complaints here.
Krissy our waitress was on time with everything and she made wonderful suggestions.
The best part of visiting a new place is the experience of good food and company. This is among the top of our happy to have been there places.
I removed one star from atmosphere because it was such a popular place, it was actually noisy for my style (desired an intimate dinner for two).
Drinks were good and not skimpy. The grapefruit goblet was delicious.
Great meals as well.
Haley our server was beyond suburb!
Thank you for a wonderful experience while vacationing here.
