The interior looks so nice. It’s well decorated, lighted, and welcoming. Sort of small but still looks amazing. Since I ate alone I sat at the bar.
Waitress was very friendly and talked me through the menu and made polite conversation with me.
The menu has a wide selection of food and even has hush puppies, fried rice, and edamame.
They give you a wet toilette for messy dishes/get your hands dirty dishes.
I ordered the 1/2 pound headless boiled shrimp cooked medium with old bay and garlic seasoning. I also ordered a side of fried rice. Everything tastes great I love the flavor of the seasoning and the fried rice was yummy had lots of scrambled eggs.
Definitely would try more things on the menu next time!! 🙂 (though I really do miss when Hastings was here.)
The inside looked so pretty and my set of twins enjoyed looking at the paintings
Our waitress was Grace and was absolutely very friendly and talked me through the menu and had conversation with us. We did mention one of our twins was ODD with ADHD and we apologized for him acting out for a bit and she went out of her way to get him more coloring pages since his had got messed up while we was eating. But the other staff was absolutely amazing as well.
The menu had a wide selection of food I wanted to try everything
They gave us wet toilette and gloves before we got our meal.
Everything tasted great I love the flavor of the seasonings.
We will be back again!!!!
Boil need more flavor for the non spicy and sausage is too salty
Also ordered after getting non spicy got a 1/2 lbs shrimp spicy with extra potatoes and much better.
Ambiance: The restaurant has a decent setup with a casual and laid-back vibe. However, the atmosphere was overshadowed by the poor service we encountered.
Service: The service was atrocious. After being seated, it took nearly 20 minutes for anyone to come and take our drink orders. The staff did not seem very hospitable or attentive, making the dining experience frustrating. It felt as though we were an afterthought rather than valued customers.
Food: While the food itself was acceptable, the long wait times and inattentive service took away from the enjoyment of the meal. Even after ordering, it felt like an eternity before our food arrived, with little to no engagement from the staff.
Value: Given the poor service, the value of the experience was significantly diminished. No matter how good the food may be, lackluster hospitality makes it difficult to justify returning.
Overall: The Surfing Crab has potential, but the service needs a serious overhaul. If the staff were more attentive and welcoming, it could be a much better experience. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I cannot recommend it and am unlikely to return.
Final Verdict: Poor service overshadowed the meal, making for a disappointing visit.
