Carl’s Main Street Deli is a total gem. As someone always on the run, this place delivers every time — fast, clean, and packed with options. Whether I’m grabbing my pickle, a side, and a large iced coffee (a must!), or stopping in for a quick sandwich, it’s always top-notch service.
Located right off 25A with easy parking, it’s the perfect neighborhood deli. They’ve got variety for everyone, and the vibe is always welcoming — sports on the TV (usually golf, sometimes not the Islanders ), great music, and an awesome team behind the counter.
I’ve realized that hockey fans make great business owners — they’re grounded, community-driven people. This is the kind of spot where they want to know you by name, because they’re just normal people serving the neighborhood with pride.
The salad station is excellent, but don’t sleep on the cutlets — everything they make is solid. If you’re in the area, definitely put Carl’s on your radar.

Very nice people but have had back to back bad experiences with the sandwiches unfortunately, last week they forgot all the toppings on my sandwich and today the chicken cutlets were inedible – impossible to chew, the consistency was somewhere between cartilage and pure muscle and it’s not cheap. They were closed at 4pm and we couldn’t bring ‘em back. Best of luck to you if you order there.

Stopped in here for a quick breakfast sandwich last week. I had a bacon and egg sandwich on a roll. The roll was fresh, the eggs cooked perfectly, and enough bacon to add a crunch to each bite. I had a cup of coffee that was brewed right and was flavorful. The place was clean and modern. The staff was friendly and swift.

I’ve lived in Huntington all my life and only started going here recently. I’ve always thought the best Delis we’re in Northport and Huntington really only had above average Delis. But this place surprised me. Sofia’s Place has always been my go to, but I’ve added this spot into the mix now as well cause it’s just that damn good. Great breakfast! Now I gotta try them for lunch!
EDIT: Okay went here for lunch. The BLT was hands down best I’ve ever had. I need to remember that this place exists because it’s so off the beaten path I forget about it alot.

Ordered 2 roast beef sandwiche on rolls, one with cheese one without. The sandwich without cheese was fine. The meat was medium. The 2nd sandwich with cheese seemed to have a different cut of roast beef as it was red rare meat. Dumped the 2nd sandwich and shared the first on our drive . Disappointing cost was $22.00 total, no drinks and opted not to take the salads or pickles.
