I shouldn’t be doing a review after a single visit, but I’m just happy I’ve dined in an Italian restaurant I genuinely enjoyed and felt that the food portion of my Little Sunny corresponded to its price. My pasta was delicious and big enough to take for an additional meal. The bread, which was made in the kitchen, had a great taste and texture especially when eaten with butter. The atmosphere felt very homely and comfortable. The restaurant’s dining space is definitely smaller than most restaurants I’ve experienced, but I didn’t mind the size because I dined alone. All alone. Which makes me hope more people discover the restaurant soon. And finally, the service provided by the chef and waiter were great. I felt very welcomed and taken care of. I felt the chef cooked in a timely matter and that her passion for her craft was well presented on my pasta. The waiter, Sonny, refilled my water the moment my cup was half full and put my leftovers into my to-go box. I hope to bring some friends next time I drive to Turlock.

I have come to Villa Napoli countless times and each time both the service as well as my meal have been amazing. I understand that it is Valentine’s Day and that the restaurant can get really busy; however, our service this time around was the worst I have ever experienced. We were seated hurridly and brought “fresh” bread, however when my partner and I touched the rolls they were cold to the touch. You could easily tell that the bread had been sitting there for quite some time and when we tried it, it did not taste fresh at all. We then asked the waitress for some new bread and she was very accommodating. Our waiter then came and took our orders which was fine and the food that was brought out had tasted delicious. Sadly, no one had asked us about drinks and when they finally did we were brought tap water in different cups than other restaurant goers and were told that they were out of ice; however, three other tables after us all got ice with their drinks. This was supposed to be a special night and instead we were met with disappointment time and time again.

We had a fantastic dinner last night and it was served by the owner Sonny and it was so good. We had a group of about eight people and everyone enjoyed their food and the service. The atmosphere is quaint and down home. Loved it. You have to go see this place and enjoy the food

Food was amazing we had the Tortellini Romana and Little Sunny. Seating is a bit tight. Service was a bit dismissive, never got our drinks refilled nor did I receive bread and butter after they said it’ll be right out. Took them 15-20 min to get our checks as well after they stated they’d be right back.

They helped us with a great evening. I called on Sunday afternoon to make a reservation for Tuesday, my mom’s 90th birthday. They’re closed Tuesday’s but decided they would open for us. It was extremely gracious for them to do this. Every dish was excellent, their service was spot on, and they were super friendly to the whole party AND especially to my mom and dad. They made a special evening EXTRA special.

Had dinner here last night with my husband, our first time there. We had high hopes for big flavor being this was a small place and not a chain…. Didn’t deliver! : ( The food was bland and lacked seasoning all around even the bread. Over priced for the food we received. Nice restaurant though but we won’t be back. Husband ordered the Calamari Almondine, it lacked seasoning, flavor and was chewy. I ordered Pollo Cacciatore, same, needed seasoning and the chicken was dry and had no flavor.

Charming old school atmosphere with Italian music, nice touch. Owner is friendly enough. Ordered the seafood plate. He brought his homemade rolls out. There were just good. Disappointing because the two sizes of shrimp and tiny bay scallops were seriously overcooked with old mushrooms. The penne pasta was overcooked but the zucchini ribbons were delicious!!! I want to like this place it’s cute but the food has to get better!!

Wow. Such a great little treasure. The atmosphere is very nice. Our host/waiter was very personable and attentive. The food was fantastic. The rolls are homemade, and you can tell. I had the linguini carbonara, and it was the best I’ve ever had anywhere. The meatball trio was a real treat. Three meatballs, in marinara, Alfredo, and creamy pesto. For dessert, the tiramisu. We got it to go, but I ate half before we left. It too was the best I can remember ever having. This is, hand down, my new favorite Italian restaurant. I can’t wait to go back.
