We stopped by on the way through to grab a couple of hot dogs. I had heard Woody’s had pretty good WV Hot Dogs (I live in NC now and don’t get a chance for “good” WV hot dogs very often). I was not disappointed. The chili (or sauce, if you will) was excellent and it is offered in mild, medium, and hot.
And man! They were ready in a flash!
Neat old diner vibe inside, with lots of photos from local sports teams (and some maybe not so local).
Unfortunately, we just grabbed my stuff to go, and won’t be in town long enough to come back and tray anything else here but that is definitely my loss.

Have never disappointed with trip here. Amazing to watch them make a dozen in just no time. Been coming here for close to 50 years and will continue. The pictures on the walls are awesome.

Limited menu options, primitive seating booth, bar stool and limited. Seems to be a popular place among locals, Wall of well known past patrons. I had a chilli dog, and potato salad. I would say the taste was average, food quality slightly above average. It was decent.

Woody’s is the bomb!! My buddy and I come from Wheeling before the Mounties games to eat. Best dogs, great BBQ, incredible pepperoni rolls… and then … there is the old style restaurant with old pictures… Don’t miss it!!!

Great experience! Service was extremely friendly and quick. Food was great, hot has a bit of a kick which was nice. 11$ for 4 dogs with sauce and kraut is a great deal!

Love this place. Great hotdogs with the best sauce. I prefer hot! Pepperoni rolls available with cheese or sauce. Service is fast even when they are busy, which is most of the time. Seating gets limited at lunch time so be prepared to get it to go.

My first time here got some hot dogs pepperoni rolls they are so very delicious I like the mild sauce on my hot dogs this was so perfect I can’t get over it I’m sure I’m going to be back here everybody’s so friendly so very nice I highly recommend this place to everyone

I went to Woody’s hotdog on Friday like I’ve done several other times today I order and then I decided to add a bag of chips. The young lady who took, and I paid for my order, stepped away from the register for a second therefore, I paid another young lady for the Chipps as I’m sitting there the previous lady who took my order, comes back and says did you already pay for the chips I said yes I gave it to her and all black. I get my food as I’m leaving. I hear her whisper to the young lady in the all black Did the black guy pay for the chips she said yes I feel disrespected straight racism Resturant for the whites I’m pretty sure they’ve never had that type of energy for any of those a lot of blacks go to this place but with my experience today from the staff, it was the only young lady wearing Jean shorts. Who did this I think it was Friday the 8th it’s sad sad people of color do not spend your money at this place they like whites only business !!
