We discovered this gem when we first moved to Colorado a couple of years ago. The owner is super friendly, the food is always good! I bring my family anytime they are in town. This place has one of the best tortas in town and the tacos aren’t too shabby either!

Los Lagos Taqueria is legit. Their Mexican food is really tasty. Great service along with great food is always a plus in my book. My wife and I ordered 3 tacos de carne asada and 3 tacos de al pastor and it was really good. Their hottest red chili salsa is probably one of the hottest salsas we’ve had with tacos. Even the owner of the food truck warned us. On a side note, if you are craving chicken wings, this is the place to go. You’d be surprised how tasty their wings are. Perfectly cooked, and hot. We always ask for extra crispy and as spicy as they can make it, and trust me they are hot and flavorful. Best wings around, considering it’s Mexican food. I would highly recommend this food truck. Also they only take cash, just a heads up.

If I could rate this taco truck 10 out of 5 stars I would. I haven’t had food like this in years, I’ll definitely be stopping by every day I can for lunch. If you are looking for a truly authentic food experience, please don’t hesitate to stop by. I’ll start with the good. Their tacos are really tasty if you get their Asada, Pollo, or pastor. With that being said, the first time I went here was over a year ago and I got a Barbacoa burrito. This burrito was actually inedible. It was so salty that I had assumed that there was some comical accident where a salt shaker fell off of a shelf and tainted the batch of Barbacoa. I decided to just not go back after that. Recently, I found myself in a pinch where all my usual Mexican restaurants were closed in the area. As I was driving home I noticed they were open and decided it was a perfect opportunity to give this place another chance. My pastor taco was delicious, but my gf and I found the quesadilla unreasonably. However, my biggest issue came down to the fact that most of the meat and the salsa tasted overly of clove. Now I know this a personal taste thing and that clove is often present in Mexican food, but the salsa tasted closer to a Christmas dish than a salsa.
There are much better tacos in Lafayette.
