Greg provided exceptional service to my spouse and at our first time dining at Hawks to celebrate our 7 year wedding anniversary. We started the night with some incredible bourbon-based signature cocktails and shared the homemade gnocchi with scallops. The gnocchi was absolutely incredible, had so much flavor, and is a perfect fall appetizer. We also got to sample a complementary soup and were served warm fresh bread. For dinner I ordered a glass of Chardonnay with the Roasted Chicken as my main entree, it cooked to perfection with great sides of Brussels sprouts with bacon bits and potatoes. The night finished off with some beignets with Carmel dipping sauce. The ambience at Hawks is so upscale and romantic and we had such a wonderful time dining here. Will definitely be back and I recommend Hawks!

Absolutely love dining at Hawks! The curated menu is delicious and beautifully presented, service is always top-notch, and the vibe is warm yet refined. Andrew, our server went above and beyond with his wine recommendations and made our evening memorable. One of the best dining experiences around!

Super nice farm to fork restaurant in granite Bay. Great service, wonderful bar selection and craft cocktail drinks. I went specifically for the burger and was not disappointed. In house ground hamburger patties along with in-house made pretty much everything from bun, pickles and yes house made American cheese. The drinks were outstanding as well.

Recently had the pleasure of dining at Hawks, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between upscale and inviting, with warm lighting and tasteful decor creating a comfortable yet refined atmosphere.

The service was attentive and professional—our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. We started with the charcuterie board, which was beautifully presented and featured high-quality, flavorful selections.

For the main course, the steaks were cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and full of rich flavor. The seasonal sides were fresh and creative, clearly made with care and attention to detail. Dessert was equally impressive; the butterscotch pudding was a standout.

Overall, Hawks delivers on every level: food, service, and setting. It’s a great place for a special night out or a refined dining experience. Highly recommended.

This is a complaint about the rudeness of the staff, with seating.

My husband and I made a month in advance reservation for Valentine’s Day for their Valentine’s Day menu. Arrived on time @5:30pm, all sections available, they set us up in the middle of the restaurant, where there was the most food traffic. Although we called and asked them to note that we like to sit next to each other, and asked nicely for them to move away from the middle of the restaurant- to somewhere more intimate – the floor manager told us “no we can’t move you and that everything is set up the way it is.” The way it was handled by the floor put a disgusting taste in our mouth and we left, zero accommodation was made or even offered. This is a stark contrast from the other times we have ate here.

I won a gift certificate for a 3-course meal for 2. Went there last night. The food was amazing. Portion sizes were generous but not ridiculously so. Our waiter was attentive without being a pest, and very sweet. He really cared about what we thought of the meal. I had the wild mushroom soup for a first course, and we both had the short rib main course. It tasted delicious and the meat was so tender you could cut it with a fork.

We will definitely be back.

The Real Deal is Hawks which delivers on flavor, service and excellence of dining.

Let’s start off with the service, our waiter was excellent by being very skilled in fine dining conversation, suggestions, and quick service. All staff very welcoming.

The atmosphere was very cozy but not small. There is a nice conversational bar at the entry area and then multiple areas to dine in the restaurant. The decor and table settings were very constant as a fine dining experience.

Now let’s get into the main event: The Food! Ok started off with a Cesar Salad which they let me split with my other guest which was nice, see the great starter in the picture (10 of 10). The main course I had the Slow Roast Short Rib which was amazing and delicious (recommend to you by another server at another fine dining spot lol) 9.5/10. I couldn’t give it a 10 due to my Gordon Ramsey Short Rib barely edged it. Another entree tried was the Roasted Pitman Farms Chicken which had a lot flavor but a little over on the salt 8/10. The mushroom soup was given has a sample which was very well done 9/10. Overall, this was an amazing date spot, upscale gathering place, I will be back to try more soon.

August 2025 Tasting Menu Review

We’ve been going to Hawks off and on for over a decade. The food has always been great, but honestly, it’s been the same menu for what feels like forever. I wasn’t even sure I wanted to go this time, but with an unexpected child-free night and the need for a good meal close to home, we figured, why not?

The ambiance was just as it always is, peaceful, upscale, and beautifully understated. It’s the kind of place where the lighting is soft, the setting feels calm, and you actually feel like you can exhale. The noise level was comfortable, not too loud, not too quiet. Our waiter, Peter, was fantastic. He was present, never pushy, unhurried in the best way, and still attentive. It felt relaxed, almost European, which was honestly refreshing.

We decided to try the August tasting menu. To our surprise, this was a new offering. It’s never really been a thing at Hawks, so it felt like a welcome shift. We figured something different would be nice, but we didn’t expect what came out of that kitchen. Every course exceeded our expectations. Michelin-level plating, creative flavor pairings, and a noticeable elevation in execution.

The tuna tartare was fantastic, super fresh and well-balanced with the wasabi and shiso. The grilled amberjack with compressed melon was bright and unexpected. The beef cheek cappelletti with seared scallop and truffle was rich and comforting, but still refined. Every bite felt thoughtful, and not a single dish fell flat. My husband and I joked that we needed to come back every month to see what the next menu will be. Though honestly, I don’t think we were joking.

They ended the meal with small caramels and a mini blueberry bite. A sweet little gesture to soften the blow of the bill, and it worked.

This was hands down the best meal we’ve ever had at Hawks. Whoever the new chef is, they’re doing something special. We will definitely be back.

Sadly I am pretty disappointed. Went here with really high hopes for our celebratory dinner and the food was not good… Waiter was great.
The porkchop was so tough after chewing for over a minute had to give up on the bite. Overcooked and tough. Outside was pretty blackened and burned
Drinks from the bar were pretty slow as well.
Whole life only sent back to the kitchen maybe 2-3 times but honestly it was awful.
Was hoping to try the tasting menu only to find out it wasn’t available when we got there…
Atmosphere was pretty bad as well. A super loud group was at the bar and they just let them go and said nothing to quiet them down. Reserved a table a month in advance only to get sat right next to the door and got hit with a cold breeze every couple seconds.
Drove all the way from Downtown for this and it was definitely not worth it.
Overpriced and disappointed by the food quality.

The food was amazing and the service was even better! We split the beet salad and gnocchi starters and they were both so yummy! The sauce on the gnocchi was especially delicious. We also split the cod entree and it was cooked to perfection. The kitchen even split the starters and entree for us which we definitely were not expecting. Desserts were also great and it was nice to be able to treat my mother to this special experience. She is still raving about it.
