This place is a blast from the past. Stopped in for the fish fry last Friday. I enjoyed the old school look of everything and the history. I ordered the perch dinner. The portions were generous and the service was great. Drinks are reasonably priced.

My friends both ordered chicken schnitzel. One arrived beautiful golden brown and perfectly cooked. The other was dark brown and RAW inside. It’s so dark in there he couldn’t tell right away. Another dish, the meatloaf was meh. They do have a decent selection of German beers, and all the prices are very reasonable.

Great place with fantastic home cooked food! The have a lot of events so there’s always something going on. The have food specials nightly!! Great place with a lot of history!! I suggest stopping in sometime. We will definitely be back!!

Absolutely, the best. Courteous staff and we were lucky to chance upon Taco Tuesday. It was a delight. Best part you can eat all delicious tacos variety at such an affordable rate. Good beer, ample open seating to enjoy a good summer evening, good music, and very quick service. Even the desserts are at their absolute best. A must try!

We went for the clam bake again. As in the past few years it has always been a classic bake. They provide everything you would hope for. Chicken or steak, sweet potatoes, corn, clam chowder, rolls, clams and clam broth which is always good. Just like the good classic bakes of my younger years. It had everything that it should have had. Also, the employee’s are always so nice and helpful. From the barmaids to the people manning the food line their great! And a shout out to Grumpy! He is so nice. We usually only attend one bake a year so this has been our go to and we haven’t been disappointed. We still need to get over there and try some of their other menu items that are involved in the clam bake. They have many options.

This place is the absolute best. If you want a schnitzel the size of your head and a liter of beer then this is the spot. The food is always incredible as is the staff. My wife and I even had our wedding here! What a true hidden gem in Cleveland.
