Bouncer kicked me without explication…. if he would have known how to communicate he would have learned that it was all a misunderstanding.. drinks are week here even if you get a double. Atmosphere. idk place is old out dated bouncers are irrational drinks are weak and i was there for new years… appreantly you cant say “thats sad im sorry for your lose ” to people at this bar without getting kicked out 10/10 horrible location. Not worth the 70 for the event i went there for. What a rip off

The bar tender was really nice and prompt. The wings were amazing. The bar looked clean. Would recommend.

Very rude bartender food took a hour and a half and they were not busy at all – it was dead and very unpleasant and uninviting maybe because it was a week night and there were only 5: people in there at the bar and no one at the tables but that bartender had a chip on his shoulder too and a attitude

Good local pub to hangout after work. There are dart machine and nonstandard pool tables. Drinks and wings are good. Customer service lacking and rude.

My favorite bar in Rochester. The service is great, the drinks are cheap and the food Chef JD serves is amazing. The best wings and pulled pork in Rochester.

I hosted a party at O’Callaghan’s last weekend and had the best experience! The staff were so accommodating and flexible with our group. There were 25 of us in attendance and Savannah the bartender was such a massive help and so incredibly friendly. We all can’t wait to visit again! The backyard patio/deck is stunning also this time of year, and there was a huge tent in the backyard open for anyone to use. What an awesome space that deserves more attention!

No attention to detail on doordash orders. This is the second or third time I’ve ordered something from here and received the wrong item.

Today I ordered fish and chips…they’re incredible…if you actually get them. I didn’t. I got some nasty poutine appetizer after waiting for 40m.

As good as the food can be here, I won’t be re-ordering from this place out of principle. Can’t continually make mistakes and expect people to continue giving you business.

Welp, this might piss some people off but whatever.

I’ve been a regular here for about 7 or 8 years so I hate to say this, but this bar has really gone downhill in recent years, it’s such a disappointment. I won’t go into much detail so as to protect the few people at this establishment that I do like and appreciate. The only reason I’ve still been popping in here is because I have friends who frequent here. But everything from the mediocre bar service, to the overpriced and overcooked food, to the $16 green tea shots, is enough to make me never come here again. Not to mention, their Guinness is $2.50 more than most places in the city, hence why I usually only went in here on Wednesdays.

I’ll get my $5 Guinness and $7 green tea shots literally anywhere else.

Also, change your fryer oil. Good lord. I hope this review helps you guys get back on track.

RE to owner: I really REALLY wish I could reach out to Scotty. God rest his soul. I hope he opened a McKay’s Bar up in heaven and saved me a seat. Where the drinks are reasonably priced, the food isn’t overcooked, and the owners aren’t racist towards black people, like this place is. Way to run your business into the ground and blame it on someone who’s no longer with us. Shame on you, Kevin. Shame. I’ve spent over $2,000 a year at your bar for nearly a decade but not a day more.
