I wish the Star was the food. Everything was cooked appropriately. The service was good, everyone was friendly. The menu choices surprisingly leaned toward Mediterranean cuisine. I had an okay gyro. The rest of the table chose standard diner fare and all choices were okay. Go sit amongst the regulars, visit and expect okay food.

Glad I took the backroads just for this place. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Ordered an omlette with spinnach, ham, and feta cheese and it was the best omlette I have ever had. Hashbrowns needed salt and pepper, but you can always add seasoning and you cannot remove seasoning. Better home cooking than most southern diners, and that’s saying something.

The 1st waitress was very nice. Then a 2nd waitress took over . She was younger and rude. I drove in with a large long vehicle and parked at a angle so I wouldn’t block all the people current customers in. I was there having my breakfast for 20 minutes and no one said anything until the new waitress took over and came to my table and she started to chew on me for parking different than everyone else. I guess I should of taken up a lot of parking instead of considering other people around me. I was a new customer and had never been there before.

Service was the worst I’ve seen in awhile. Two tables who arrived after us were served first, and there was even a table who sat before us who also got snubbed. The waitress even looked down at our table, saw our menus were closed, then turned around to wait on the other table! We got up and left, which left her flabbergasted for some reason. She and her coworker, which had their extremely long hair flowing, not even tied back (yuck), need to keep track of tables more closely. They seemed very confused and unorganized.

We both had the gyros and despite our many travels, we agreed that we’ve never had a better gyro anywhere. Everything is house-made when ever possible and you know it. We both got soup (his was potato, mine vegetable beef) and felt like our own moms were in the kitchen doing the cooking. They also have two options for fries: crinkle cut or house-made. Hubby had a piece of strawberry cheesecake and loved it.

One of the most pleasant dining experiences in a long time! My wife and I dropped in to this cozy little family-owned diner and had a late lunch, consisting of an open-faced hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and thick, dark brown gravy; liver and onions; and a side order of fresh, home-cut French fries. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious!! The BEST part was having hospitable service. Our server, Nora, was very friendly, happy, out-going and courteous!
