The atmosphere is perhaps the restaurant’s strongest asset. The dining space is genuinely cozy and comfortable, making for a pleasant place to sit and relax. Our service was also commendable—the staff were attentive, efficient, and friendly throughout the meal.
However, the food was unfortunately just average. While nothing was inherently wrong, the dishes didn’t quite meet the standards we expected, leading to a feeling of being underwhelmed. Furthermore, we found the pricing to be somewhat steep for the quality and preparation of certain menu items, making the overall value proposition a little difficult to justify.
Lily Thai offers a lovely dining environment and great service, but the kitchen execution and value need improvement to match the positive front-of-house experience.
This place is an absolute sweet hidden gem in a cozy small town of Halton Hills ❤️ The restaurant sits inside a heritage property dating from the 1890s! Just 10 minutes away from the bustling Toronto Premium Outlet Mall, this restaurant offers an unlimited selection of comforting, well-seasoned and authentic Thai and Chinese dishes.
We had the Thai Red Curry that comes with your choice of jasmine rice or coconut sticky rice (we got the latter) and General Tao Chicken, along with their deep fried Thai Coconut Shrimp. All dishes were absolutely delicious and made me savour every bite. The curry is rich and packed with sweet and spicy flavours. The General Tao Chicken was lightly breaded, crispy and juicy. The sauce was sweet, slightly tart, and just spicy enough for us
– Bangkok Street-Style Pad Thai – Sweet with a mild kick, not too spicy.
– House Special BBQ Beef – Tender and packed with flavor.
– Crab Fried Rice – The crab taste really stood out, so good!
– Cheesecake – Light and not overly sweet, a nice finish.
Great portions, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere. We’d come back again for sure!
To be honest food is average, being a foodie and tired multiple places for mango salad and pad Thai this place is not the one. The green curry was nice but pad Thai was very saucy and had more a pungent tomato flavour to it. I would certainly come back for the location but wouldn’t explore the menu except the green Thai curry and jasmine rice.
I convinced my partner to try it again today but different dishes and take out so we would have our condiments and pantry available.
We split the drunken noodle. It had no sauce. The noodles were overcooked and in chunks. We ordered a couple shrimp spring rolls as well as the beef roll which were ok. It states it comes with Hoisin and a peanut sauce. They failed to provide any of the sauces mentioned in their description. Thankfully we had Hoisin at home and we were able to make the dish palatable.
The seating area is smaller inside so I recommend making a reservation.
The staff were amazing—super friendly.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious Thai food.
We had the calamari and hot and sour soup to start. Both were good.
The Thai basil fried rice, drunken noodles, spicy eggplant stir-fry and golden curry were all super good.
The caramel pecan cheesecake was very good but we weren’t impressed by the mango sticky rice, the mango was raw and not very pleasing to eat.
Overall very good experience. Will definitely visit again..
