We have wanted to try Kipling’s since we moved to the area several months ago. What a disappointment! The papadum and chutney was the highlight of the meal. The chef’s vegetable sizzler starter was decent. My son ordered a mango lassi. It had zero mango flavor. The entrees were very one-note: heat and nothing else, no depth of flavor. Very disappointed in the lamb rogan josh. The paratha was flat and flavorless. Garlic naan was ok, not much flavor. Service was EXCRUCIATINGLY slow (on a Monday night with few customers). Finally, we had to correct the bill (they tried to charge us for an extra soda). I think this place may have been good 15 years ago but it’s not anywhere near the top tier in the Leeds and Bradford area now. Unfortunate.

Visited Kiplings as a party of 4 and honestly couldn’t fault it. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the staff made us feel properly looked after.
The food was outstanding full of flavour, beautifully presented and served hot. The lamb was tender, the karahi dishes were rich and authentic, and the starters were fresh and perfectly cooked. You can tell everything is made with care and quality ingredients.
Portion sizes were generous and great value for money. The whole experience felt premium but still had that lovely community feel.
We’ll definitely be returning and recommending Kiplings to family and friends. If you’re looking for top-quality Indian cuisine with excellent service, this is the place.

First time eating in at kiplings, first of all the table was booked for 8pm but didnt get a table till 8.20pm, It would of been nice if we were offered a complimentry drink due to the delay. The food was amazing and tasty. We ordered 3 drinks but only 2 were given, as he didnt write one down.We asked for the bill 3 times, but the guy decided to clean the table, also upon cleaning the tables the spray should be sprayer on the cloth as all the particles from the spray went all around whilst people were eating and drinking. Would try again but the service really needs improving and needs to be a bit quicker, in a busy restaurant like this. The pricing is very reasonably priced.

Good indian restaurant. Service is excellent. The food was great but not for indian person pallet. This can be a personal opinion. They have made excellent efforts to make us comfortable and looked after very well.

Won’t come here again
£40 on the food and ruined due to raw “king”prawns in prawn puri
We called them and told them about the raw prawns and responded with “the chef said that’s how it comes”….. I’m sorry but if the chef says that something like prawns are meant to be raw (not cooked what so ever) then he shouldn’t be a chef.
A person who isn’t a chef can easily search that having raw prawns can cause a bunch of problems to yourself.
They said that they are sending a new one but 45min later and the remaining food has gone cold and still no replacement. We called and the manager answered, we said that we still don’t have it and the food has gone stone cold but tried making excuses and kept saying that it’s “nearly there” even after telling him the food has cold and ruined and then turned rude when we told him the problem but it was like talking to a stone wall as he was constantly ignoring what we are saying.
We going back with it tomorrow as no one showed up to show them the plate of food poisoning .
So long story short
Terrible Chef
Horrible Manager
And the don’t ever get the Prawn puri unless you want food poisoning. And that’s if you can call them prawns

Polite staff, and the food just as good as the last time we visited which is not the case with all restaurants. Well worth a try if you haven’t been before.
