The food was definitely not fresh. They didn’t have the food right it looked like it was doubled dipped overfried shrimp was rubber .nothing was fresh. What we paid for was not worth what we got. Being from Chicago where J&J fish are plentiful. Finding one in South Bend, Indiana was a pleasant surprise. I just had to stop in and order some Perch and Wings. I asked for lemon pepper to be added to the food. The only complaint I had about the food is that they put so much on that it was grainy and over powered the taste of the food. Should I ever get back there again, I will refrain from the lemon pepper. I was pleased with the service of the gentleman, Jay, that waited on us.

I don’t know what to think of this place. It’s almost like they care but almost like they don’t. Got their kid working the window. I don’t know how much you can expect from kids these days. Some guy emerges from the kitchen looking miserable.

At one point I loved JJS but since my last 3 or 4 visits they SUCK Im just going to talk about my order today ordered through uber eats first my order was 4 catfish tails I only received 3 ordered lemon pepper order on them (DOES IT LOOK LIKE ANY LEMON PEPPER ON THAT FISH) and there was none spoke to the cook or whomever and they lied and stated that they personally fixed my order and it was as I asked LIES! LIES! LIES! the pizza puffs and chicken wings were burnt all the food was cold the shrimp dinner was poorly put together and one more thing you cant understand what the hell they are saying most of the time and they act like they cant understand english 10 thumbs down to JJS mishawaka lunch time crew (SORRY THAT I DONT HAVE THE FIRST PICS TO VALIDATE MY CLAIMS BUT I HAVE NO REASON TO LIE ABOUT FOOD I ORDER FOOD ALMOST EVERYDAY AND I JUST HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE TRUTH NOT IF ANYONE BELIEVES ME) (the fries were old and bogus)

Fish was hard… just like the last review said… it was also very under seasoned. Staff was nice and I really appreciate that they were open till 11. Fries were fine, Cole slaw was good.
Update: made me sick to my stomach last night from the grease. Didn’t taste that greasy but I guess it was.

I like the flavor of the chicken but for the second time in a month, I received no fries with my dinner. When I call back to inform, they offer to give me fries later…but that is no help for to me get a full meal now. Do you think I’m going to come in and just order fries? If you truly thought I only wanted chicken, why did you not charge me that way? BTW…I also said “no bread”.
