The Soup du jour was superb with flavor bouquets. Elk chop was totally OMG as the kitchen wizardy was amazing. Amazing people who care and excellent culinary excursion in Carroll County md Silver Run community. Bud’s should be on your list of nice for this Christmas as they exceed expectations.

First time experience here & we dined with a toddler and infant with us. I cannot say enough about how welcome and accommodating they were. Our waitress was so thoughtful & made sure our toddler had a drink with a secure lid. The owner was so sweet and brought over crayons for our toddler to draw right on the tablecloth which she thought was really special. Thank you for making dining with young children such a positive experience!

Food was amazing! We got both types of crab soup and could not believe how good they were. It was what I would expect from a fine dining restaurant on the water. The crab egg rolls were cooked perfectly. Crispy, spicy and sweet and absolutely delicious. We also ordered two salads, one with lump crab, as we were there for a lighter meal around lunch time. The salads were fresh and delicious and the quality of the plain crab was impressive. Totally unexpected dining experience and a very welcome surprise. The waitress was lovely and she shared the really cool history about the building. Definitely worth the drive and can’t wait to go back.

Silver Run is a staple for fine dining in Carrol County. We had the opportunity to try the Elk chops. This is now my most favorite piece of meat. It was cooked to perfection (rare)! What a lovely experience and impeccable service.

We rode an hour & a half to check this place out. It did not disappoint! Husband & I agreed the cream of crab soup was the best we both had ever had the shrimp salad sandwich was amazing, nice plump shrimp. Burger special was a bourbon sauce mushroom special that was cooked perfectly.
The owner chatted with us, was fun & friendly. Can’t wait to go back!

Charming and great service but ohhhh the food! The crab risotto was just amazing, my scallops cooked perfectly and the peach creme brûlée the perfect finishing touch! Not sure how we got there and it’s not a lot to look at outside but do yourself a favor and go in for an absolutely amazing meal and experience!

We ate in the pub and will definitely do so again in the future. The staff is amazing – kind, personable, patient, and great at their jobs. The food was delicious – we tried a little of everything (extra shout out to the corn fritters!). The number of beer taps is limited, but everything they had tapped was quality/tasty – they may have more in bottles/cans, but we didn’t even need to explore that option. And If you are looking for something fancier look no further, they have a dining room on the other side of the building!

First time to Bud’s and will not be our last. Everything was outstanding. Met the owner Ken afterward and had a great conversation. So worth the trip. Everything was excellent. No restaurant in Gettysburg comes close.
