We recently booked a hall at TajMahal Indian Restaurant for my niece’s pre-wedding event, and the experience was wonderful from start to finish.
The location is very convenient, with ample parking, which made it easy for all our guests. The hallroom is completely separate from the main restaurant, giving us full privacy for the event — a big plus for a family function like this.
The food was delicious and fresh, and every dish was well-prepared and full of flavor. Our guests really enjoyed the meal. The service was excellent as well — the staff was attentive, professional, and very accommodating throughout the program.
Overall, it was a perfect venue for a special family occasion. Highly recommended for anyone looking to host a private event with great food and great service.

I was in the area for business since Google had good reviews so I went to the restaurant for dinner. I order garlic naan and butter chicken which rice came with the dish .Garlic naan taste like frozen naan which they just heat it up in air fryer. Rice taste like cooked in rice cooker. Chicken taste like cheap restaurant depot chicken. The Server was unprofessional because he get upset when I asked for more napkins. I am dispointed all level of the service

Edit: the owner accused me (a racially Indian male!) of racism. Pathetic. What he cannot do is refute my points in the review. For that, I am downgrading the rating to 1 star (formerly it was 2). Like I say below, I really *wanted to like this place* but the quality of everything is atrocious.
I really wanted to like this place after reading some of the reviews. It’s a Bangladeshi restaurant (why it’s called « Taj Mahal » who knows? The Taj Mahal is in India).
My mom opened her menu to find an insect crawling inside the plastic between the pages. Great start.
We ordered the lamb Rogan Josh (turned out to be more like a ketchup lamb thing) and the lamb posada which was a chef’s « special » (and it was a sugary barely edible mess of slop also). We had two chicken items which were also below average in food quality.
The rice was completely plain. Not even a single piece of cardamom, leaf, or any hint of seasoning.
The ambiance of the restaurant was as also totally low vibes… there was some sort of Islamic chanting playing from a TV that was playing off a YouTube channel. Thankfully the chanting was broken up by ads for a Kia Sportage. Those Kia ads really livened up the atmosphere.
The artwork on the walls was of cafes in France. Great fit.
No jug of water at our table and service to refill our water was haphazard and unpredictable.
Oh and of course the restaurant looks like it belongs next to a cheap motel given its location.
I guess if you don’t know Indian food well, you might like this. But if you have a discerning palate, try Nawab’s on Kirkwood Highway or basically any other Indian restaurant.
If this is a « fine » Indian restaurant, then the Kia Sportage is a luxury automobile.

This is our go-to Indian takeout spot when we’re in Delaware! The chicken tikka masala and chicken garlic are both amazing, but the chicken garlic is my favorite. Honestly, you can’t find another Indian restaurant that makes chicken garlic like this. It pairs perfectly with garlic naan, so flavorful and comforting.
Service is always good, and the restaurant is spacious with plenty of tables if you want to dine in. We keep coming back and always recommend this place!

I ordered Chicken Tika Masala and I didnt enjoy it one bit. Prob the worst I ever had. For one i requested spicy and it was complete opposite. It also tasted very weird like maybe they didnt cook the sauce fully. Im not even saving the leftovers. Waste of $14.

Visiting from Washington, DC, this place immediately caught my eye, and I was also invited to an event here. Service was efficient and genuinely warm; every employee had a smile and was ready to help. The menu is plentiful with lots of options, prices are reasonable, and most importantly everything was clean. Great flavors, generous portions, and a comfortable vibe. I’m already considering a road trip with friends just so they can try it. Highly recommend!

A good Indian restaurant around here. Stopped here for lunch around closing time, but they accommodated my order! Great!! Chicken Biryani was Pakistani style, and I loved it. It went well with Chicken 65. Since both we fresh and hot, just out of the kitchen, the aroma was fantastic! Overall, I loved this place.
